*Since there's bound to be Bethesda apologists: I don't hate the game, I still think it's fun and I'm still playing it. But I can't overlook the glaring inability that Bethesda has to evolve and reimagine their formula in compelling ways. No, a voiced MC is not compelling. No, a jank ass building system that mods will have to fix is not compelling enough to make me say "wow this is truly a next gen Bethesda RPG". No, I don't care about your reasons why every Bethesda game ever made is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Wait and you're still going with mgsv, an unfinished game, as your best of the year?
Unfinished, and yet still more of a next gen open world experience than any other game I played this year. Witcher 3 was a close second though.
I don't know what next Gen experience means, especially between the last 2 gens. All three games were fun as hell anyhow.
