Gearswap "Cannot change gear right now: KOed" help please.

I asked this in GS thread, on windower and even PM'd byrth about it. No one knows how to fix it. Has anyone else experienced this issue? The problem is it won't change gear because it thinks my character is KOed.

To clarify, gearswap loads fine but it doesn't do equip swaps.

have you posted ur lua on pastebin and had anyone look at it?

It's not my lua file it's gearswap. It happens with any lua that gets loaded. If you aren't referring to JOB luas I'm not sure what you're referring to.

At this point I just want help disabling the check to see if your character is KOed.

My thinkin is since nobody else jumped in with a "yea i have this issue!" then it might be ur lua.... would it hurt to post it tho? National secrets or something? Or like we could load it and see if we get the same error. Or does it utilize Motes stuff?

It's not the job profiles. I can load any job profile and it will give me that error when attempting to swap gear (the luas all load fine). Furthermore, I'm using the same job profiles I used 8 months ago and they worked fine. It's not just one profile, it every profile. If you sent me yours it would say "Cannot change gear right now: KOed" when I cast a spell or change status from idle to resting or anything that triggers an equip swap.

Oh they have a good GS community? I guess Ill have to check them out. I thot this forums was bout the only place besides the windower site lol.

Is your pc a Windows XP pc? did u check git hub to make sure you have the most recent gearswap files? I only ask because XP machines sometimes has issues with updating things. 9/10 times mine wont update any addons (it seems to do plugins just fine tho). so I have to make sure i have the most recent files from github (live branch). Its weird cause I dont think Ive ever gotten that error even if i was actually KOed.

All i know is if im using the new sitchair emotes nothing and i mean nothing gearswap related works. even if it has nothing to do with what state im in. it could be a command that simply invites someone or says something in party chat and it will give me an error. Its pretty weird

The KO error only appears in the debugmode

Type //gs debugmode , go kill yourself and then do //gs equip set and you will see it say cannot change gear while KOed.

I'm not on windows XP, I'm on windows 7. I've talked to Byrth in IRC and we've come to a solution .

Furthermore, FFXIAH has always been a far better forum than BG for me. I would highly recommend it.

It was a private server issue that also revealed GearSwap wasn't doing things exactly like the game. kjLotus and I each made minor updates that fixed our respective issues.

Hello guys, i'm having the same problem playing on a private server, gearswap doesn't change equips and going in debugmode it says "Cannot change gear right now: KOed" how could i solve it?

Play on an updated private server. kjLotus fixed this problem for DSP last night.

Ahh, I dont think playin on a private server was mentioned in the original posts. Ok well glad u guys figured it out then.
