Officially declared an ISIS attack on home soil.
EDIT: Beaten by a couple hours. This is going to get even messier than usual.

I love how the article launches with ISIS TIES OMG OMG and then a few paragraphs down says "well we don't really know how much she was influenced by ISIS and how much it was from other sources, also we think this is probably more of a workplace dispute than anything else."
Again: yes, report the ISIS "ties" if you want to call them that. but don't make that the focus. the article itself admits a few paragraphs in that investigators are placing a bigger focus on workplace hostility than terrorism ties... but no, let's lead with "OMG ISIS BE AFRAID THEY'RE COMING"
And I know I'm beating a dead horse here but if a Muslim who may have been influenced by ISIS committing a workplace-fueled shooting is "terrorism" then we've had a hell of a lot of non-Muslim "terrorist" incidents this year that weren't reported as such in the media. like, you know, a certain shooting last week for example - obviously meant to terrorize patrons, employees, executives, and supporters of Planned Parenthood and the pro-choice movement.
fuckkkkkkkk
ISIS released a statement where they don't claim responsibility, but welcome the women's declaration to have killed in their name.
Yup especially when you look at the second paragraph of the article:
Also it starts off as "Investigators think" that she made the pledge to ISIS.Malik's post was made on an account with a different name, one U.S. official said. The officials did not explain how they knew Malik made the post.
So, they are devout Muslims, have a 6 month old kid, and got married this year...
May Allah shame them for their sex out of wedlock.
Quick question: Where was the 6 month old kid when all of this went down?
Grandmother's. They dropped her off before going to slaughter colleagues and coworkers.
The guy's brother's family was taking care of her while the couple was supposed to be working.
Kind of misleading to compare total deaths when talking about public safety threat. As the little note says firearms include things like suicides which I doubt there are that many if any justified vehicular homicides. If you go to where they got the numbers in that graph it shows that of that 30k+ firearm deaths in 2013 21,175 were suicide. Actual homicides and accidents combined are under 12k and have been on a downward trend for awhile. What you are really seeing is an increase in suicides which I'd probably guess given how high rates amongst vets are might have something to do with the decade or so of us sending soldiers over there
Generally a crime scene can be secured 6 months or more pretty easily. FBI claimed the investigation is "complete" so media is apparently allowed to traipse around. This is one of the weirder things I've ever seen.
All this shit was shown live. Doesn't sit right with me but I guess if FBI/police say case closed media can do w/e the hell they want given the landlord.
Spoiler: show

Relevant to law enforcement failing at protecting what should have been a massive pile of evidence to sift through:
