But people wouldn't know couture brands. They just don't. Street wear is recognizable just about anywhere...people know Supreme, FOG, etc. No one knows Raf. I think I've seen one person around here in some Givenchy slides. Lacoste and RL is about as high fashion as anyone would recognize.

the beauty of living in a fashion wasteland is that when you wear interesting clothes, people will ask you about them and you can talk about it! also you never ever have to worry about being sufficiently on-trend, wearing something too 'played out' or any of that nonsense. you just get to wear the outfits you like and have fun with it and maybe have some nice convos with random strangers. i've had exactly one person in the last 3 years give me a nod and say 'nice rick' and dozens more ask about where i got my clothes or what the brand is or whatever, and that rules IMO.

I wear silly graphic tees that nerds understand and compliment me. I also don't wear designer clothes. Being a blue collar worker who can occasionally deal with chemical spills I wouldn't want to ruin clothes or shoes that cost more than $60.

And any time I do wear a button up shirt + tie for work, the only question I get asked is "what position are you interviewing for?"

TM Lewin is 60% of where my collared shirts come from, and while they are cut pretty well, they still cannot match a tailor. Clothes made exactly for you feel comfortable as fuck, especially tailor-made layers. Suit, trousers, shirt, waistcoat cut exactly right is just mwaaaa.

It's got a little pouch for your bits and pieces, don't know if it gives you cameltoe tho.

I tried SAXX and a few other underwear brands that did that pouch thing. Most in the $20-40 a pair range. Returned them all except for one pair of SAXX because it had glow in the dark ghost print but holy fuck do they wear/fade out fast. I went back to my mix of target/ua/Adidas compression and Costco brands lol. I spend a lot on clothes and shoes I have not found it worth it on underwear or socks thus far.

I used to have some of the "performance" boxer briefs from Duluth Trading that we're good. I was actually thinking of getting some more pairs now that I'm working outside every day. Comfortable and wick sweat so you aren't swampy.

I've got some of those synthetic briefs and they're comfy and stay dry for sure. The dryer quickly ruins them though; I trashed a couple pairs before I stopped being lazy and took the effort to air-dry them.

I was very unhappy with my wool socks I wanna say they were darn tough. Friend swears by the smartwool but idk if I want to be let down again for like $18/pair.

I'd be willing to try new brands of underwear again but I can't stand when they ride up so pretty much only use compression and I will always put them shits in the dryer so they die faster.

I like my Keen socks. I've also had Darn Tough and Smart wool. I like Keen the best out of them. They make them specifically for your right and left foot too. Sounds a little weird , but you'll notice the fit is better.

How are they for sneakers? I exclusively wear sneakers in an office job now and find my darn toughs too tight and hot and I swear they make my feet smell when they never have before.
