Windows 10 audio settings for dual monitors.

I bought a TV for a bedroom and mounted it above a pc. When I hook the HDMI cable into the video card, the audio for the TV puts out to PC speaker. Is there any way to output the audio on the TV to the TV speakers and the monitor to the pc speakers. Not even sure if its possible to split audio in such a way. I'd just like to use headphones on the PC while someone else is able to watch TV

I'm confused. Do you have two different audio streams that you want going to two different places? If so, I'm not sure about how to do that - I've never tried.

If you just want audio to go to a specific place, it should be as simple as selecting audio sources in playback devices. You'll have a default device, standby devices, disabled devices, and devices not plugged in. For example, on my system I have both monitors ( dual display setup over chained DP ), Realtek HD and Digital Outputs, and the nVidia HDMI outputs from the video card - I want everything to go to the PC speaker system so I have most everything disabled. My Intel NUC which I use currently to play VNs has an audio passthrough line that connects to my main gaming computer's input line, but this means that the sound overlaps with anything I'm doing on the main PC since both main PC and VN PC are essentially using the same output. I don't know how I would go about setting up a different output line for the NUC without just... plugging it into something else.

I know some applications ( like MPCHC ) will let you choose your output, so you could theoretically ( again, never tried ) play a game on one output with the MPCHC set to a different output and you'd have two different streams from the same machine on two different outputs.

Also, I did it, and I don't know how. I just fiddled with realtek and didn't really change anything. Plugged and unplugged the PC speaker audio jack. Now I'm listening to Tay Swizzle in my G930s and Nick Jr is streaming on the TV with audio out of the TV.
