There is a lot of truth to the wake up game. I'm awful at general play and combos, but I still manage to occasionally win against people better than me by out-rock paper scissoring them. But that video was pretty obviously mostly him playing poorly and going on tilt. He didn't even win the footsie game like he kept saying.

Half the time he's bitching about wakeup he's also getting counter hit, which is dumb as fuck if you're playing Rolento since he has probably the worst wakeup in the entire game.

aside from OSs the waku up game is legit in ultra then it was before (there are some exepton where d.wake up doesnt stop shit). But then again if there werentsome OS some chars would straight up be to strong (godlike backdashes).
He just lost the high/low guessing game against dudley whicj is legit. not to mention he got carried fast to the corner on a char with no safe w. up option which ties back to being shit in the footsie department.
i am no expert but against dudley i try hard not to get into the corner and rather spend meter trying to stand in middle of the screen, albeit that doesnt work most of the time. He is one of the hardest chars to deal against in the corner imho

not shit but not chun tier footsies. i usely go with chun against dud and i go ok. with poison my main i struggle because one wrong hit into combo means usually stun on her if the next guess on wake up goes the wrong way.

You probably do better with Chun because her reversals are way harder to punish.

Poison fights Dudley well standing up if you know how to take advantage of her fireball game. Her fireballs are slow and her recovery is so good that you can use them to control space way better than anyone on the cast save maybe Guile.

The trick is to stay 2-5 character lengths away and spam light fireballs, and just follow them to Dudley to either punish his duck with a poke, or to just poke safely behind them. Use your long as fuck low forward into whatever special and there you have it, the MU is yours.

That shit is 6-4 Poison, for free.

mix up fireball pressure with a good ol fat stand fierce punch behind it and you in theory. "should be okay". and her slow ass back flip on wake up is not a great option but its viable till you get cornered. Then game over mang

But if a dudley isnt blindly ducking trying to predict fireballs and actually sticking out stand fierce punch / or fishing for trade cr.mk for knock downs. Your gonna have a bad time either way. Just dont get knocked down lord help you lol.

I think the only thing it even messes with is rose setups lol, Dudley's mixup isn't good because it's super complicated, it's good because he can combo off both options
