This would be the absolute worst time to go. Never go to Japan during Golden Week. Half the things you will want to do/see will be closed. People from all over the country, and worse China, flood into the city and make it unbearable.

I was thinking more for jp people attending so they don't need to take time off lol, I don't imagine it would be sustainable to expect foreign players to pay out of pocket to attend every year.

Oh, gotcha. I have to imagine they will have a very good turnout though. Most Asian players can go cheaply/easily, and Europe to an extent. All of the sponsored players will make it the go-to event outside of US EVO.
