Explorer Henry Worsley died attempting a solo trek through the antarctic to raise money for charity. He as airlifted back to Chile after 70 days into the attempt. He died of bacterial peritonitis caused by massive dehydration and exhaustion.

That one really hits me in the feels =/ I didn't know about it, but trekking through a frozen wilderness alone by yourself to bring notice to a good cause is really brave and it's very sad he paid the ultimate price for it.

He died doing what he loved but hell if the levels of badass aren't still radiating from his still warm corpse. Just 30miles from the goal too.
