Yeah saw that on imgur today. I grew up in the 80's though with a strong dislike for anything even remotely "Western". So Blazing Saddles was before my time and not an interest. He was my childhood hero in Woman in Red though, awkward guy that all of a sudden gets the interest of the hottest girl around? I straight up fantasized I was him, hell, that one seen got paused enough to warp the VHS tape.

In college I directed a stage version of Young Frankenstein. I loved all of it except for not being able to play his part because I was directing.

I heard the news late last night. Part of my inner child died.

I'm glad someone finally mentioned Young Frankenstein. One of the greatest movies ever made. I know whenever people think of him they associate him with the Willy Wonka character but I hope he will be also remembered for the great work he did with Mel Brooks and in other movies. Incidentally, Gene Wilder wasn't his real name. It was Jerome Silberman. One more thing. I suddenly thought of a line from Willy Wonka today and it freaked me out. Here's the scene it's in:
