Dean Strang was on the latest Reasonable Doubt podcast with Adam Carolla; not sure how many interviews the guy has done recently but it was worth the half an hour listen.

Snowed in here in NY. Gonna check this out. Dude does have a glorious beard.
Can't promise I'll keep my racial bias out of it though.
Episode 3 mark. Um... how does our country freaking work with stuff like this?! GDI 'Murica
It's crazy that all the rebuttals I hear are about whether Avery was innocent or not, which completely misses the point of the documentary. I haven't finished the show so I haven't come to a conclusion about Avery, but I can say at least in Brendan's case nothing he said should have stood in court with how he was coerced. It makes my blood boil to think that kid was put in jail for something they had zero proof of outside of his first statement which any knucklehead can see he was fed.
Honestly, what I would at minimum like to see is a retrial that is publicized so any lawyers/judge knows that they can't pull any funny business without the whole world seeing it.
I'm almost all the way through.
Like, I get this stuff is edited to make me feel sympathy with Avery with the phone calls and interviews and whatnot; but the evidence presented speaks for itself. Even if it's deliberately cut to present one side, there's so much insane corruption going on that makes me feel like the system is a complete and utter failure. You can't edit those things in such a way and come to another conclusion, even if you feel you're only being presented potentially with half of a story.
Dunno if any of you are familiar with famous Lawyers or so in the US but some supposed big wig called Kathleen Zellner who has gotten plenty of other wrongly convicted people off has taken Averys case. She has been tweeting about it like 90. Adament Avery is innocent! Wonder what it all means for Brendan though.
Apparently they are now stating it's obvious who the killer is and that they are going to gather evidence so there is no question of SA and BD's innocence:

This is all so crazy.
strong words by zellner. i'm sure america will be captivated.
Still going with Brendan's stepdad and brother
All I gotta say is if she gets him free and proven innocent, he is gonna get paaaaaaiiiiidddd by the state big time.
I'm going with Holbach's brother. Dude is so douchey it can't be him.![]()
