Eh, she looked stiff and boring. Def professional but you could tell she planned on wasting half the time by replying to the bleachers in the arena to let her talk when everyone else ignored the audience when they were getting loud. Rubio did this and gave the event an honest try, I don't agree with his position but he at least went in it honestly.

I just mean in general
As a society we deem the benefits of things like cars and alcohol to be worth the imperfections, including imperfect application. Guns are designed to injure and kill. Now there are a few situations in which that is a legitimate end (hunting, self-defense, etc.) but the fact is that injury IS the literal end goal. That is what makes guns different from a regulatory perspective. You can regulate other things in a variety of ways to mitigate their potential for harm, but with the guns the only solution is to restrict access.
So while other things get people killed when misused, or can be misused intentionally to kill people, nothing has such a disproportionately high effect on the deadliness of violent outbursts as guns -- readily available weapons designed to do lethal damage.
Don't sicko shooters kill armed police officers? Im sure teachers will do a better job though
Nice try CIA
My gf spends almost 1k a year on supplies out of her own pocket cause this state won't give them more money, but now they want to buy arms and train them to use it? Lolol.

The NRA speakers are trying to portray themselves as victims. Its sickening
Will the NRA or local school districts pay for the lawyer retainer fees when there's an inevitable lawsuit involving things like accidental discharge, improper stowing of a firearm, or "oops I shot a kid in the head in the middle of a crossfire in a crowded hallway"?
This is my big concern. Just look at police and everything they go through when they fire a weapon, let alone doing so erroneously or harming an innocent...and they're trained!
Now you want teacher who are already overworked to do the same? And you want to pay for all the shit that goes with it? I don't see why the public should favor that over just restricting access to firearms. Monetarily it makes more sense. Some gun toting BGer would have to explain to me why we should consider that over just banning the firearm.

Also more police at schools?
nah hard pass
The NRA promoting their school shield program like it make a difference. LOL
Fuck it, how about this compromise? Y'all can keep your assault rifle style weapons, but they have to be modified to only fire paintballs. Those still hurt and can be used in self defense, but are less to non lethal and you can keep your rifle. This is most certainly agreeable yes? Just aim for the eyes and its no different at all, we're not expecting anything from you that the President isn't expecting from teachers.

I'll the that compromise. I'm just getting into paintball. Shit is so lit

Why not? Sales would only increase if the guns were less lethal since everyone could buy one without fear of killing kids, everyone wins except bullet manufacturers.
At least until they invest armor piercing paintballs.
