I usually used whatever m14 clone they had but I haven’t played since mw3.

If building birdhouses was more fun I’d do that. Actually if modding cars/trucks was cheaper I’d be doing that.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking. I’d get behind having Modern Sporting Rifles/ Assault weapon be clearly defined and separated into its own classification away from the catchall “long gun”. I want the definition done by someone who knows something and not the assholes that think flash hiders, bayonet lugs, pistol grips, adjustable buttstocks, etc don’t do anything important. Bump the age up to purchase. Decide on a waiting period. I’d be game for a waiting period on handguns too, I can’t believe anyone has an immediate need to have one the same day they decide to buy one. And I think handguns are a bigger issue if you want to focus on gun violence.

As for high capacity magazines: tax them heavily. It’s weird the 30s are cheapest. I don’t even know anyone who enjoys loading them, my 32 rd 9mm ones are a pain. Technically you can’t deer hunt with more than a 5rd mag. I don’t carry my handgun regularly but even if I did, if I need more than ten rounds I dun fucked up somewhere. However, I don’t think the people who want them for legal uses should be prohibited from buying them, just find out who really wants them.

Like I said before I do not mind smart regulations, but the lazy “nobody should have them” is where I don’t see eye to eye on the issue. Make them a bit harder to get, raise the age, make me wait, make me fill out some forms and submit fingerprints etc. but let’s find a middle ground. I can purchase full auto, suppressors, sbs sbr, etc. but no one has an issue with those because they are harder to get. Hell i can buy a tank for 70k.
