I think this is the right thread for this:

That doesn't sound like a real rationale. Most mass shooting involve like 3 weapons tops, which isn't even a rounding error on the total daily gun sales.
There are a lot though that are stopped before it happens and every time it seems.like they were stockpiling weapons and they either got sloppy or someone stumbled into the plot and reported it.

'Ey, 'oah, it be a shame if anything happened to you while I carry this gun 'ere. But just so yous know, I do have a liability ensurance.TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey’s top lawmakers unveiled sweeping gun legislation Thursday that would significantly restrict when and where guns can be carried outside of the home, a bill they touted as “the nation’s strongest measure concerning concealed carry.”
The bill would, among other things, require people wanting to carry guns in public to purchase liability insurance — the first statewide mandate of its kind in the nation should the bill become law — and banning guns from being carried in 25 broad categories, including but not limited to government buildings, health care facilities, airports, casinos and private properties where the owners have not given express permission to have guns. Violations would be deemed a third-degree crime.

A federal judge in West Virginia has invalidated part of a federal law that prohibits the possession of a firearm with an “altered obliterated, or removed” serial number, citing the Supreme Court’s recent decision that demands a historical review of gun laws to determine their constitutionality.
Gods but do I fucking hate these people justifying shit with the narrowest, literalist possible reading of the Constitution.
finally
domestic abusers not having easy enough access to firearms was really holding this country back
Ironically one of the issues I would've brought up during my recent jury duty summons since the case involved guns and if any jurors would hold bias. Luckily, RNGesus kept my name from being called.
The amount of people who responded 0 on the 0-10 scale did remind me I was still in redneck hell, though.
I should just move. I've about had it with this state.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/pol...ests-rcna78531Republican legislators in Tennessee voted Thursday to expel two Black Democrats from the state House over their protests on the chamber floor against gun violence last week, while a vote to expel a third white Democratic representative fell short.
It’s the first time in state history that a Tennessee House members have been expelled for alleged chamber rules violations.

It's so performative and stupid too. According to the TN Constitution, there now has to be a special election. One in which they can be nominated in. So they can, almost certainly will, be nominated back, and both of them won their original elections in landslide victories. Which will likely be even more of a landslide now.
So, so dumb.
On top of that, their districts are going to nominate temporary replacements. Which, again - can be them. So it's very possible neither of them miss any significant time in the legislature at all.
Funny thing is now they can’t be expelled for the same “offense”. So they can protest again and not risk getting the boot.
