We haven't made the playoffs in 16 years; can't get much worse. And if it does get worse, then maybe we can actually draft a decent QB for the first time since the 90s. And if we trade our first away for some piece of shit running back, at least we have the GIFs...and the butt fingering...and the tossing of people onto tables...and fans passing out in the creek outside the stadium and dying...and chicks blowing dudes in the parking lot for jerseys of players who are promptly traded...and fans falling off the upper deck and almost killing people...and etc. Can't wait for the 2016 season.

I thought you were being sarcastic, guess I read your post wrong. QBR is a pretty flawed stat and anything that has Tyrod Taylor ahead of Cam, Rodgers, and Brady needs examined closely.

When healthy, he's not terrible, but I think he is much closer to a poor man's Vick than RussWills.

No, your comments are fair. Agree with Buffy that the QBR-focused comparison is definitely flawed, but he is arguably the best QB (one season, small sample size) we've had since Flutie with the exception of one Bledsoe year. It's more the fact that Tyrod is a former BAL back-up who did reasonably well, but is clearly not a blue-chip QB. Not every team in the NFL is going to have one of those obviously, but you would think we would have accidentally stumbled onto one at least over close to two decades. Draft picks like EJ Manuel just don't help the cause. BUF, OAK, and CLE have the longest current playoff droughts. Each have some common flaws, but the biggest theme is the failure at the QB position at each team over their respective droughts. BUF can make the playoffs with Tyrod and perhaps some noise after that, but I just don't think he is THE solution long-term; most fans agree.

He's not the defensive coordinator; he'll give some input, but he's not the only voice on the defensive side of the ball. And you keep focusing on one year in NO. He led, or assisted with, some stellar to average defensive squads for a decade or so across NE, OAK, DAL, and early on in NO; to be fair, most of those squads were closer to the "average" side of the spectrum. He's never been a savant like LeBeau in PIT, but he's not the worst ever either.
