You put way too much time into that.
Rata's not wrong. Rosa isn't useless; she's just not useful to you. If someone needs a support character she's a decent choice since she has RS with this event.
When people put breakdowns on mages are you taking multiple healers or relying on SB's for healing/mitigation? Like I know some healers can equip Breakdowns but the 1 healer I take is normally firmly locked into some form of Curing + either Protectga or Shellga.
I just can't see how I could slot a Breakdown on a healer unless I took 2 or the fight wasn't curing intensive. I guess some fights you can completely forego one of the -gas if they only rely on one form of damage and you have a SB to cover the one you need.
It always depends on multiple factors
Like on my case, Rosa would've been better, because without AOE heal, I had almost cure 100% of the time, and had maybe 1-2 free turns, which magic breakdown couldve been use, and I couldn've gave Tyro a nuke and help my DMG a bit more.
But setup questions are really hard to answer without knowing your Levels, Gear and hones
Well it was more of a general question because I see it mentioned but I've never personally found myself in a scenario where I could do so. Might be because I have Planet Protector so my 1st choice healer cannot do that but generally speaking it would require me to take 2 healers before 1 could breakdown. At which point I think I'd rather take a melee that could do it / slot the lesser break on a melee as it's more damage.
Granted I generally run physical heavy teams with multiple spellblades which isn't conducive to double healers.
These were my setups:

Rubicante always starts with Blaze, which is 25% of Max HP, then Inferno is unlocked on turn 2 and attack on turn 3. Cloaked form is every three turns and the counter is reset when he drops below 51%; he took five turns for me when this happened.
A side note, you cannot have a death in this Ultimate and keep the medals. I got hit with Blaze, then he hit Rydia with double Inferno around 5% and she died. I thought you could have a single death and keep the medals, but got expert and I'm now waiting for stamina. I'm planning to use the same setup though.
I never said he was wrong. Failing to elaborate was a mistake on my part.
In my case, Rosa is Yshtola without Wall which is a waste of a party slot when I can toss Curaja on Yshtola and be done with it. I can see how having SG would make Rosa a better choice, just not for me.
I was giving Rata shit for jumping down my throat.
So basically double healers is only a thing when you're going all out mages from what I can see? Which is more understandable as you're not getting HP back from Drain Strike and usually aren't carrying a support to use Breaks.
I don't think I could all out mage even if I wanted to. I have plenty of mage relics but I'm lazy with daily farming so I couldn't come anywhere close to having enough firepower. I think I have like Waterja R4, Ruinga R2, Thundaja R2 and Firaja R1 for T4 black mage spells and that's it. If we were ever given one through an event I'll have that too.
It's all good.
As far as double healers they're mostly useful when one has an AoE heal and the other has a useful skill. For example, I'll bring Lenna to heal and Yshtola for breakdowns or Yuna for summoning and Yshtola for heals. Their unique soul breaks give them added utility beyond cures.
I feel bad. I have Medica and have never used it after I got Planet Protector. I even have 2 of Lenna's staff so can fall back on Diaga for good damage
I rarely find myself needing both Protect and Shell. Full Break + Wall is generally enough for a magic heavy boss to cover it's rare physical attacks, or vise versa. I run 3 BLMs with Tyro support + Y'shtola. Tyro with Mana's Paean and FB, and Y'shtola with a breakdown and Curaga. Then Boon/LH/Focus for RW.
It was a triple firaga which isn't listed as a thing on the KBP site. You can see it in the video linked in the OP too.
Same thing happened to me in regards to the counter being reset. You can only have 1 death for the "Character's KO'd" medals, the ones that say "Defeat [Boss] without any KO's" you can't have any deaths or all 3 medals get taken away (the exception is Reraise which isn't in global yet).
In my case, I brought Y'shtola for Wall (SS2) and Yuna for her AoE heal because I felt I needed both and wanted Boon for my RW. Y'shtola never healed during the fight, only used Breakdowns.

Getting annoyed. Rubi is doing nothing but AoEing for me and naturally my ST cures can't keep up. Best attempt I maybe got him to 30%, most have been lucky to hit 50%.
Even with MBD, Shell, and Wall you probably need either 2 people curing or 1 person with Curaga/ja and an AoE heal SB
Yshtola also has blm 3 so u can put a cure with something like waterga and attunement rm, and still do good. She has a decent water attack sb too even if you don't have her relics
Cloud: Blizzara Strike/Reta/Dra. Det.
Squall: Watera Strike/Drain Strike/Attunement II
Tyro: MBD/Steal Power/Mog's
Lenna: Curaga/Shellga/Mako
Rydia: Waterja/Blizzaja/Witch
Been using SS RW on my perpetual attempts here. Squall's my weakest link, but my IV synergy isn't that great. Only AoE cure I have is from the Christmas wand and it's not really strong enough. Cloud is almost doing 9999 and Rydia is. Figure with SBs, I can take Rubi out if RNG cooperated, but it'd be tight. Thought about maybe swapping Squall to Tellah for another cure source and Diaga, but I'm honestly not wild about honing up another cure just for this. :/
