All that will do is that instead of saying 5* has a 13% chance drop it will say like
Excalibur has 0.01%
Was hoping for gun or bow but oh well, not gonna complain. Having two platinum shields is good, gives me 3 pieces of +20% holy equip plus the shield itself is strong as fuck. Means I can use 2 Knights with little penalty. That vest is fodder tho.
Awesome is plowing through Holy Dragon with Celes because Holy is the only thing it can do.
Working as intended; got a Blood Lance from the Lucky Draw. -_-
100% correct, the only law regarding Gacha was for regulating complete Gacha after the debacle that happened involving games using them. All non-complete Gacha mobile games rules and disclosures are at the company's discretion, all this means is that Square Enix is joining the group that supports self regulation and disclosure of all mobile game rates involving Gacha. Also be aware this is SE doing this, not DeNa, so the only thing this will affect is the way SE allows their future mobile games to be handled in terms of Gacha and policy.
Oh hey guys what's happening in this here thread?
So whats so good about the Shield? Does it stack with Shout? Sorry I know this is asked/answered somewhere but .. uh... mrgrgr?
Edit: Yes, it does... Okay. But I don't think I care to lock yet another slot in my party. Cool!
That and it's got the highest attack of any armor right now.
Wait does it? I thought it had 17, which is the same as many armos... Sephiroth's Armor, Seifer's Armor.. and several bracers have higher attack by 7-10 points. Though its the highest of all Shields I think, aside from Tidus' shield which is also 17 though I dont know if that ones release in NA yet.
(though it does have the +20% Holy Damage doesn't it... that alone makes it great for stuff like SC)
red armlet has 23 attack vs. platinum shield's 17. not the highest, but certainly not too shabby either.
And it raises Holy damage by 20%
The +20% holy damage will do far more for holy damage output than any attack difference from a bangle. I'd have to go find where the break even point in attack difference but i'm pretty sure that even with RS on a bangle, the shield will offer better holy damage.
Edit: I did some quick calculations on the damage difference between the platinum shield and a crystal helm++ at +44 atk with RS and the shield will always do more holy damage than the helm.
With 400 total attack the shield will do 6.7% more damage, at 500 it goes to 9.2%. Once you break the attack soft cap the shield really starts to pull away. 600 attack will be 17.4% more damage.
Yeah. I mean, consider even that a 138+dmg Excalibur almost always causes you to deal more damage when compared with an RS weapon once you hit the attack soft cap (maybe even before, I don't know though), and that's an even larger boost to attack. Until you run out of ability uses at least, but if you're using all of your Banishing Strikes and Saints Crosses then your team probably isn't optimized in other places.
In the case of being under the soft cap it's generally better to run with the RS weapon. The difference does become pretty insignificant the closer to to the soft cap you get though.
After pulling two shields, I wanted to try it out on demon wall and I have to say I was quite impressed with the damage boost. I used shout, apoc shield and +20 damage RMs on Cloud and Greg. Greg had 53 less attack and was capping every hit of SC versus Cloud using tempo for 9.2k per use in phase 2 of the fight.
Noice
Yeah, thread title needs changing. Rata isn't supposed to be this lucky.
Congrats man.
