In case anyone is wondering, prelim analysis of the banner rates indicate that the additional item did not affect the BSB/SSB pull rates.

1% BSB/SSB
2% Unique SB
1.5% Generic Relic
1% Off-Banner 5*

Total rate for this banner is still 13%.

In terms of Tactics level shenanigans, yes it is safe to pull.

Kinda meh at the slightly increased chance at drawing one of the generic realm 5*'s (the robe or the bracer) at the slightly reduced cost of off-banner 5*, but the Unique SB, SSB, and BSB rates are where they should be.

Holy fuck I'm glad I pulled; my 1st 11x and I got Excalibur. FINALLY a good physical SB! I think I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead and bank the other 50 mythril.

This is the first thing worthy of stones too; I have 42 from when they first released them. lol

Meh. Hastemarch won't last long with Krile's SSB around the corner. She can also benefit from it unlike Edward.

The problem with Krile's SSB is the same problem that I have with Edea's inaugural parade. You have to use the RM slot for mako might. Depending on the RM used, that means that you have to give up 17 to 34% damage on a char that's there for damage. The negatives of using mako on Edward are much less since his damage isn't that significant. Also, there are a lot of ways to get major regen especially in a mage meta setup.

To me, Pecil seems QUITE broken when he can backline+bow+draw fire+Steiner's RM. With this event, he was popping BSSB every other turn.

You're missing the point, i'm saying that if you have Edward with Hastemarch and DON'T have Krile with her 2nd SSB, then Edward is worth a party slot over just not bringing him and RWing Krile 2nd SSB, since you will usually have a spot for a support anyway.

Krile would still benefit because the MAG+30% will benefit her more then it would Edward, plus with other future stacking MAG+ we'll be getting, the loss is not a big deal, plus the Major Regen does make a big difference since it does help a ton in healing over time.

Edit: Having it on Krile 2nd SSB over using Ed SB is beneficial too down the road since it saves a slot for Ed or other support on using Major Regen (it is a 5* BRD ability now in JP), plus the other mage buff SBs for the most part don't have Heavy Regen, so it saves a headache.

That's not really a fair comparison unless you don't want to run any 5 star support characters at all. Of course a BLK/SUM is going to out DPS a support if you compare them directly. But damage isn't what a support 5 character is there for in the first place.

Just realized a fully maxed RD'd OK can pretty much function as both a hybrid support/mage, esp combined with his BSB for natural stackable MAG+ and Hastega. Yet another reason for me to save for him on Global.

Broke down and bought my first 11 pull chasing Kain's spear. No luck on spear but I did get Edward's Harp and Rosa's Bow so in 3 pulls I got Excalibur, Kotetsu, Harp, and Bow and my synergy went from crap to Cid missions don't seem so ominous. No more pulls though, no matter how much I like Kain.

Edward can do breakdowns.

Terra and Quistis can as well. Also Edward is easily one of the worst supports out there in terms of debuffs. If you're worried about breakdowns you won't be using him much over anyone else with a proper Full Breakdown burst.
