i already have a valiant knife and 2 chocobrushes, the rest isn't nearly compelling enough to warrant dropping a 50. celes' burst would certainly be nice to have, but i'm pretty sure there are a number of other variants on that buff coming up that are just as good if not better. if anything, i'd pull on #2 as i don't have character relics for anyone on that banner save relm, and it's got a runic which i don't currently have any variation of.

Got Kefka's fastcast flute and Ramza's new ssb gauntlet on the new JP lucky draw.

The buff from Ramza's gauntlet is apparently 30% stoneskin and +50% critical hit damage for party, but does anyone know how the crit damage bonus is applied? Trying to figure out if its worth using since it clearly needs to be paired with a crit rate SB to get more than the base 3% crit rate, and depending on how its applied would result in significantly different values. I think this item got overlooked when it came around in the last FFT event as it was on the opposite banner as Orlandu's relics, as I can't find any info on it.

Is Ramza's gauntlet +crit rate, or +crit damage? Because Crit Rate I think hard caps at 50%, and the damage also is a flat 50%.

crit rate should definitely be able to exceed 50%, isn't there a common BSB command template that grants like an 80% crit rate? cloud's has it for sure, but i can't remember the exact rate.

Ahh, true. Maybe I was confusing it with crit rate not stacking, and basing it off Yda's Internal Release Crit Rate +50%.

Reddit reports Ramza's new glove as "crit damage +50%", so I assume its modifying the amount of damage dealt by crits in some way. I can think of 3 ways they could apply that +50% bonus, each with totally different results:

Genji Gauntlets [SSB, +10 ATK] - 30% Stoneskin & Critical Damage +50% to party

1) Crit damage multiplier changes from 1.5x to 2x resulting in an effective 33% damage increase from crits
2) Final damage value multiplied by 1.5x resulting in crits having an effective 2.25x multiplier
3) Only the bonus damage from crits gets multiplied by 1.5, resulting in an effective 1.75x multiplier from crits

Obviously I'd hope its #2, I'd still consider using it if its #1, and #3 would be flat out terrible, though that seems the least logical.

I do have Eiko's burst which has crit rate boost but would have to give up Y'shtola's burst + SSB to be able to fit that in, and Yda who I have the crit rate buff for and she can take a breakdown that I would probably have to give up on Ramza for lifesiphon if I want to maintain shout + crit damage buff.

EDIT: Tested myself, and it appears to be case #1. Used Yda's + Ramza's buff with lightning's new 8 hit SSB on a U++ boss, non crits were ~2500 and crits ~5000, which suggests the crit multiplier is 2x instead of the usual 1.5x, so using Ramza's new buff is a roughly 16.7% dps increase if paired with a crit rate 50% buff, 26.7% increase on skills with crit rate 80%, and 1% increase without a crit rate modifier. Not bad if you can fit a crit rate increase considering you get a 30% stoneskin from the buff as well.
