normally i just stockpile mythril but i've done a few cash pulls, usually because i'm wasted and can't resist the urge lol. i did a couple gem pulls on the the most recent tactics 1 (i really, really wanted the lightning damage+ items; i got a couple kaiser shields out of it plus other stuff) , and one pull on burstfest 5 before that which netted SG and 1st fusion sword.

just curious, do those of you who are pulling heavily on banners do it with mythril saved up or gems?

Mostly stockpiled mythril, but there have been a few times (notably during the last SSB fest) that I have used accrued credit card rewards dollars that I don't normally ever touch for a few pulls just because.

haha I haven't done that in FFRK, but you don't want to know how much money I spent on Puzzle & Dragons while drunk >_> I don't even play that game anymore lol

I'm F2P; I use my Google survey credits to buy more games. I stopped doing 100 gem pulls a year ago and have done maybe 6 of them all year.

F2P here except the $8.99 in gems I bought for 100 pulls during Burst Breakfast for my birthday. I may use the $30 from the GTX970 class action suit to buy an 11 pull. Probably around Christmas time.

i got both! on random single pulls, no less. i only had enough for one 11x, pretty sure that's where i got my turk suit and estharian helmet, lol.

edit- also what is this i'm seeing about $30 from a GTX970 class action?! i have a 970 and i want $30!

I always do the 99 cent pull for every banner since I usually have enough from Google Rewards to cover it, and if not... i's only 99 cents. I've gotten lucky with quite a few of these.

I never spend Mythril or cash on 1, 2, 3, 11, 14, and Tactics realms since I know those events will be few and far between for now (plus the characters are 'meh') - however, I still do the 99 cent pulls since they are too good to pass up, and a lot times I've gotten lucky.

Other banners depend on what I have in that realm already, and the contents form the banner. The only time I've spent too much money on a banner (way too much) was the cloud SSB banner a LOOONG time ago, I never got it (until 3 months later when it popped up in a nightmare lucky banner - boy do I feel dumb) and I'm too embarrassed to say how much I spent on it. In the end, the regret reminds me that if I don't get the item I want within the first 12 pulls (1 99 cent pull, and 1 11 pull), I'm not getting it at all, and to stop.

Since I went crazy trying for Clouds sword, my FF7 synergy is amazing (like 5 other 7 star relics for FF7 folks), so I typically only do the 99 cent pulls on 7 banners now, and maybe a 15 mythril if it benefits my A-Team which has both Zack and Aerith on it.

for 5 6 8 9 and 10 banners, after the 99 cent pull I may do a single 11 pull IF there is something of value I can use (right now I lack mage synergy in FF8 so eagerly awaiting those banners), OR if there is something that will support my A-Team (which, in addition to Zach and Aerith, would be Squall, Vanielle, and Tyro), otherwise, I wont pull at all, or I'll only pull 15 mythril in an attempt to round out a realm or character.

Half Price banners I typically PAY for, since they are rare, themed, a single pull (which wont let me go crazy - although I hear this is going away soon [god help me]), and not really that much cash, and Google Rewards helps out occasionally there too (there was one I used mythril on since I had like ~250 sitting on reserve).

I usually go through my stockpile of Mythril and do some gem pulls on the side if I really want something.
Since I'm still new to the game I had a bunch from the realm dungeons. However, I'm getting close to finally finishing those up.

thanks for all the replies. was just curious. I feel like I don't have enough good SBs yet and I didn't know if my luck is just bad or I haven't been spending or what. I think I just haven't been playing long enough though, honestly. I save my mythril for the good banners and I'm pretty smart about it. I'm sure I'll pull something ridiculous before you know it (OSB pls)


yesterday was 3 GPO, 1 GWO, and about 10k greens btw. pretty damn good. today I've got one MO so far but it's holy :/ meh
