Haven't gotten any 5* since Fang's event. I'm saving all my mythril toward FFT as FFT and Ramza are my favorite. Also, that Scream meta.

Yeah, getting the synergy you need is one of those balance issues I've bitched about in the past relative to ability slots and honing. Honing is at least better now with the orb exchange, but it's honestly pretty sad going into a lot of these higher fights with the same ability sets sans one or two tweaks and RW choice.

But as far as gear goes, I do think unwanted stuff should be able to get broken down into some kind of token or material. Get 10 3-star, for example, and you can buy 1 4-star item. When it comes to 5-star stuff, the generic stuff could be 10 4-stars, but shared SBs could be 15, character weapons 20-25, and the SSBs 30-35. Discounts for certain items could happen during events. This would add some value to even 1-star trash since you could ++ it and get some 3-star gear to salvage. And given the taxing that'd put on stamina if you focused on farming gear instead of orbs, people would possibly drop more mythril/gems for refreshes.

But that's just me not wanting to be RNG's bitch.

I generally do at least a couple of 3x pulls per banner but I've completely stopped doing the 100 gem pulls except in extremely rare cases(like the FFVI event because <3 FFVI).

I suppose I shouldn't bitch because Sage's Staff is fucking great and Skycutter has some limited use but the rest are pretty much straight up trash.

I want to do one more 50 pull before Tactics, and that'll be the FF8 event for Quistis' whip. I'd really love Bahamut for Yunie but she's currently my Medica gal and I can always bring Celes for RES+50% if I need it.

Heck, for this upcoming ultimate I plan on bringing Lulu, Lightning, and possibly Auron/Greg with the usual Y'shtola + Yuna for my support team. I'm still debating on whether to bring Squall, Tidus, or Kimahri instead of Auron because frankly physical mitigation doesn't worry me.

Last two good drops for me were Seph's Yoshiyuki (ate up all my luck!) and Fang's Glaive, last 5 5 stars was gaia gear (V), Musk Pole (XII), Cid's SB spear, Glaive, and Estharian Helm (VIII).

I went for Sage's and ended up with two 5* Icebrands and tried for Yuna's FMR and got Danjuro. No more pulling on banners until FFT (other than 100 gems). I was just trying to get an 80 healer up to speed.

My plan too, however I will lose my shit if I pull it or red's ssb, icing on cake is if Tyrath doesn't get it and spent all mythril on it! (We know he's gonna 3 pull get the two sadly)

He's gonna get Red's SSB on a 100 gem pull and Cloud's BSSB+Tifa and Cid's weapons with 15 mythril.
