that's my mythril stockpile! i've got another 60-70 or so in there waiting for OSBfest/XIV. it's really just a stalling tactic to help prevent me from spending it on banners i shouldn't, lol.

yeah, after 30 days. my oldest is the XV release mythril which still has another 10.5 left, so it'll expire a few days before XIV likely releases. already have an alarm set on my calendar beforehand just in case, haha.

My XIV sinergy is shit, I have no healer Burst and 2 mage Bursts with no Sheepsong. That banner has everything I need and more lol.

In case people don't know, XIV banner is NUTS. Y'sh gets BSB AoE heal +30% HP Stoneskin (NULLIFIES; that could be 2.5k damage ignored), Insta-cast curaja and AoE heal commands. Min gets Power and Magic Breakdown for BSB commands. Alph gets Powerchain wind/SMN and ability restore (Best SMN BSB). Min gets Shout and Guts. Alph gets OK Shout (ATK/MAG) and Thorns. And old relics that are still amazing. Banner two, Yda gets her own 30% nullification and another that DEF/RES enemy 50% with buff ATK/DEF 30%. And these are STILL some of the BEST ITEMS in JP.

this is my situation. wanna run a mage team? bring wall and RW faithga. oh you don't have wall? then bring faithga and RW wall. oh you don't have either? LOL U SUX

I'm praying for either Thyrus or that Papalymo faithastega relic. and obvs Y'sh BSB would be nice too.

XIV banner 1 is to mages as Shout 1 and OK 1 is to melees.

I almost had the same pull as you, except I only got 1 of clouds armor. I was really tempted to pull on this banner with the wind element sbs on it. Sucks to get the worst one. I would have loved to get Cid's goggles since Luneth's res is pretty bad.

Angeal's SB actually looks pretty good to me. The +100% def will be nice against physical bosses.

So whats this OSB fest I keep seeing pop up on reddit/gamefaqs etc. Why are people hype? OSB's aren't even that great in comparison to BSB, are they? No buffs/burst effect, just a 1 attack thing that can break cap.

It's simply the next set of celebration banners. In Japan they weren't that great but they always change for Global. Personally I'm more interested in the event itself which adds Mind Break/Breakdown and Ultima Weapon (dark summon) as abilities.

A few banners down, you'll see the untranslated banners. They'll each have:

1x OSB
3x BSB
4x SSB
1x Unique

So regardless of each banner's quality, they have one more BSB (in place of a unique) than our current banners. Likely one banner will have 2x OSB and 2x BSB. And usually one or two banners will be really attractive to individuals depending on their needs (e.g. JP's banner one is great for mages).

And is each one going to be a half price pull? If so I'm going to start hoarding now. (well, hoard more)
