It'll start next week, so not much time to hoard anyway. We (Global) have the benefit of knowing what's coming, outside of exact celebration banners' contents, so most people look and plan months in advance. Takes a certain amount of willpower, but does make for more mythril efficiency.

i'm really hoping they change the hell out of the banners, i want tidus' OSB but i have literally every other relic on that banner save leon's, lol. if what we get is anything close to that there's no way i can justify a pull.

after 100 gem'ing ragnarok last night though, i suppose i can live without it since i have pretty much the same setup in wind now.

They will change the banners, heck they even changed the Colossuem banners which were job themed in Japan. The only relics that are going to remain are the new ones (most of the OSBs, some Bursts) and everything else is potentially being replaced.

I'm 95% sure I'll pass in lieu of XIV. I do not need more damage relics; I do need wall and faithga. if there is a perfect storm mage banner I might pull once... maybe. but probably not.

Even when they change the banners, they generally make 1 of each for attack and magic stand out above the rest.

Festival banners are tricky, because of the "Revolver" possibility. I've kind of taken a reddit trick to evaluating banners (especially event ones) that are worth pulling on by assigning 2 points for every relic i need and 1 point for every relic i want outside of a 'need'. If I break 7 points, then the banner gets at least 1 pull.

Last celebration banners weren't that bad actually, certainly no Revolvers there. Even the Uniques were good.

You're guaranteed to see recent bursts there. Possibly even Tyro repeat.

If the unique on the mage banner is wall, I'll pull once. That's about the only situation I can think of where I'd do so.

There's already wall on XIV banner

Yeah, Thyrus is on XIV 1 along with a very good (arguably the best?) healing BSB and a very strong utility Pro+Shell+High Regen.

The wind/smn and ether BSB commands and Guts is secondary. Of course.

3 pulls on XIV would mean I only get 1 pull on Fujin/Raijin. I would need about 25 unaccounted mythril before then to get a 2nd pull.

Thats also ignoring any surprise christmas/new years worthwhile lucky banners.

I'm doing 2 minimum, maybe 3 pulls on XIV. that would be all my mythril but worth it.


Does anyone know if we're still getting multiplayer beta, and if so for how long? That's ~6ish mythril per week (more this week!) that really helps out.

Yes but only 3. Basically starting from FFV we'll have 13 mythril per event instead of the usual 10.

Gonna be skipping fest I think and all-in 4-5 pulls on XIV. Not a single relic on that banner is bad (besides inferno kris).
