Has it been discussed where the MCIs and MCIIs should go? Let's go extremes and decide for people who have been playing since day one and those just starting. Remove the arbitrary "whatever character you have relics for" since that's obvious. New players: Cloud (Phys DD), Yuna/Aerith (Heal), Wakka/Fran (Support), or Lulu/Vivi/Terra (Mag DD). Tyro? As for day ones, I guess, it would be events that got skipped(this is where it really depends what you have)? Do we even have to be choosy? Do we get an overabundance?

Yeah, I guess we got screwed out of Tifa's MC2 with the Bahamut event. Thinking I'll go her, Locke, and Bartz since I have SBs for 'em all.

Overall, if you're like completely new and got shit, the first step would be to see what MCs you can get as your progress through the dungeons. Would then try to prioritize for roles. If we're talking healers, I'd err toward Lenna or Eiko simply because their default SBs are most useful with Regenga and Shellga respectively. People give Tyro shit around here, but I'd recommend him for his flexibility and his likely spot as break duty, particularly if you do luck into SG at some point. Cloud is the obvious first choice for a physical DPS. Nukers kinda suffer like healers do in that most have crappy default SBs, but Ashe's buffs her nuking so that might be a good place to start there. Being 4/5 with my suggestions so far, I guess my last might be someone who could Celerity and/or Thief things. Lightning is a good choice for the former and she's basically a Cloud-1 as is. Only ones on this list that doesn't have MC2 at the moment, though, would be Eiko and Ashe.

In my opinion, if you have SG, Tyro is automatic top tier even with his low stats. His versatility is unmatched.

Yeah, SG is probably the best relic in the game especially if you can get Tyro's BSSB to make the ultimate mitigation combo.

My party right now is Terra as the BLM, Greg, Sephiroth, Cloud, and Y'shtola as the healer. Where would I fit him in there? Full support in Sephiroth's slot since he seems pretty limited?

Yep, grats on best relic in game btw! Wall helps so damn much since it can near cap def/res and tyro is extremely versatile.

Personally I'm probably going Bartz and Locke. Not sure about Bartz, but Locke is a given. First character with access to Thief's Revenge that we can take to 80.

You're talkinga bout the relic with the lightning SB right? I got it from the newbie 11 pull where you get one free relic. Oh, this must be a different SG you're talking about then, the one I have is the Stormlance or something... Derp. So nevermind then!

SLG (4 hit lightning attack) is a great SB, so i'd say still put Tyro in your party, also i'd recommend using any mythril you get toward banner 5 of the SSBfest coming up, has trinity pieces (haste, wall (200% def/res, i.e. Sentinel Grimoire (SG)), and aoe heal, as well as good dmging SBs.

I"ve been using 25 mythril per Lucky Banner so far in the first two. I have...37 mythril atm. I guess I could skip 3 and 4 and save for 5 and Tactics or w/e?

And yeah, who would you replace though? I have Terra, Sephiroth, Cloud, Gilgamesh, and Yshtola all unlocked to 65, but Tyro is 50 since I don't have his first MC1 from the story just yet. Haven't done much story since the special event things have been going on.. using all my energy on that. D:

But yeah.. like I don't even know what I'll use atm since most characters i have are using AOEs (Fire Blossom, Yukikaze I think? Bladeblitz and Ruinga).. but yeah, D: I def need a perma support I think.

Seph would be the first I'd drop. Sure, AoE is nice for daily or orb farming, but he doesn't really bring anything unique to the table and most boss encounters are 1v5. Like I said earlier, I typically have Tyro on Breakdown duty. MB and FB are the usual, but I'll set PB on him if it's a boss without magic. His RM3 is also good for events (like Cloud's).

So because I'm bad with abbreviations.. MB/FB = Magic Break/Full Break? Or Magic Breakdown/Full Break? and what's PB?

I'm basing MC2 on Upcoming Events: Lulu, Locke, and likely Hope because I have two solid thrown magic weapons.
