I honed TR to R2 after pulling Locke's dagger. I kind of regret it now since it doesn't really work that well with his SSB. I just do lifesiphon -> SSB for the most part unless I need to hit some kind of status effect.
I also have Cloud's BSSB and PP and those teamed up with valiant strike pretty much trivialized most of the DU. Locke did 8 max damage hits against elite inferno today and all I could do was laugh at how OP it is.
If I set SG on my RW, does his level have any effect since it is not damaging or anything?
SG is set to 25 seconds duration, nothing changes that.
Anyone else as surprised as I am about how long FFT event lasts? ends on the 16th and makes me wonder if it will be around when daily+ drops.

Thinking of switching Fang out for Vaan or Faris or somesuch to allow for more Breakdowns/support since I'm lacking that at the moment. Also might drop Life Siphon on Agrias and turn that into some sort of utility slot since maintaining Cleansing Strike probably won't be a major factor most of the time, especially if I bring in another support. Idk. Hard to choose

So my team looks to be Lenna/Cloud/Ramza/Beatrix (I have save the queen or i'd go Pecil or Locke) with the 5th spot interchangeable. I can do Squall, Cid, Locke or Sephiroth, all who have SB's
Yeah, the 5* skills are essentially buyable limit breaks. You end up doing a bit more damage over time with a 5* but lifesiphon+SSB is much more generally usable and easier to make. Really nice to be able to use characters you wouldn't otherwise be able to use.
Except flare strike, that one is like buying braver.
created a second r4 lifesiphon today. not sure exactly who's going to use it but I know the time is coming
I was doing the same and accidentally created a 3rd Lifesiphon. Oops.
The only thing stopping me from making any the 5* damage skills is that I have enough SSBs, and I prefer [Lifesiphon + Utility + SSB] over [Lifesiphon + 5* + SSB]. The latter gives a marginal DPS increase, but it's not enough to justify the orbs.
Really the only 5* ability I'd recommend at this point is full break.
So far after Springfest my A-Team seems to be:
65 Freya - Dragon's Breath(But I can swap 65 Gordon in for her if Goddess's Bell would be preferrable for the fight.)
80 Lenna - Princess' Favor/Flames Of War
80 Cloud - Fenrir Overdrive
65 Vaan - Windburst (But I can swap in Cid with Hyper Jump or a 65 BLM with dungeon synergy if it helps more)
80 Steiner - Sword Art Stock Break

I had 3 copies of Life Siphon and R3'd all of them a couple of days ago. But most of the time I only really use 2 of them. Although, I might keep using the second, I'm not sure yet. Atm I'm running Thief's Revenge R2 and Life Siphon on Vaan because I'm worried about using Steal Power and Flames of War in the same group. I think Flames of War probably overwrites Steal Power and vice versa depending on which was used last, so it's tricky to use, but Flames of War also gives haste so I have been defaulting to that and letting Vaan ride Flames of War with the other DD's. Although, with Thief's Revenge R2 the only time I use Life Siphon on him is if I run out of Thief's Revenge or at the beginning of a fight while I am waiting for buffs/debuffs to get put up, so I'm kind of torn, lol.
Meh, BLM RM3 turns attack into Fire and WHM RM2 turns it into a heal.
