Man, Agrias Shield and Sentinel's Grimoire makes difficult fights an absolute joke. Just did the Cid Raines and FF13 Bahamut elites which I remember people saying were hard on release. They were both hitting for 30-40 damage per swing, I probably took less than 1k damage in both fights combined.

I think I'm actually happier that I pulled Agrias's shield over Platinum Sword since I have Hastega/PP but had no breakdown mitigation relics.

Yea, I'm sad that the dungeons are just fucking melting with my team: Ramza, Agrias, Yshtola, alone are trivializing the fights to the point where bringing synergy characters is unfair.

Event Cid was harder than dungeon, I felt. The big thing about Bahamut wasn't its damage output, but rather the Doom timer and needed DPS. It's also why stuff like Bart was an ass if you didn't have decent synergy for the realm.

Event Cid was harder than dungeon, I felt. The big thing about Bahamut wasn't its damage output, but rather the Doom timer and needed DPS. It's also why stuff like Bart was an ass if you didn't have decent synergy for the realm.

Really? I had 38 seconds left on doom timer when Bahamut died. Being able to walk in with 3 SB gauges on DD's makes DPS checks really easy to hit imo. Would have been a lot closer if everyone started off with zero SB gauge

I guess if you had no RS and no heavy hitting SB's it would be tight which is probably what the timer is designed around

yeah... I mean, I'm still salty about not getting platinum sword ( not that I'm stopping, every mythril until banner goes away is going to that banner ) but at the very least get the facts straight.

The justified anger is that off banner items are much higher by comparison, and that non-SSB items are the same rate while shared SB items are higher.

When I'd first tried and failed, I didn't have Lightning's SSB. If memory serves, that didn't come til a bit later, even. Otherwise, the only XIII synergy I had was a 5 star bangle and the crap gun we got during Sazh's event. Think my party was something like Cloud, Lightning, Tyro, Vanille, and Hope. All were basic save Cloud having Cross Slash and Tyro using SG. CS was the only thing that would do 9999, but that arguably came at the expense of needing like 1.5x longer to do an attack. Was also around the time when honing 4 star abilities was more on the difficult side without conversion and maybe only one orbfest up until then.

Even when I did go back with Lightning's SSB, there were about 10 seconds left on the timer since not much else changed with my composition. Obviously, trying to build her SB up as much as possible prior to the fight was important, but the trash in the 4 stages prior weren't exactly slouches, either. The mecha behemoth's AoE stands out here as something you didn't wanna see, or just the mob in general. I'd probably decimate it now also having Bartz's SSB other, better gear/abilities, but since it's been like 4-5+ months since it was added, I dunno, calling it easy doesn't seem right. The bar's simply been moved with other event hand-outs and banners.

Edit: Will also be doing my 11x FFT draw tomorrow. I expect tears.

Gah I wish I had an awesome SSB. It's sad my best one is like..Cleansing Strike lol

Cleansing strike is awesome 30k dmg and godlike mitigation. Was doing 110+ dungeon and with shell, wall, magic breakdown, full break, clensing strike aoes were hitting my group for under 100 damage lmao

yeah i'm actually thinking about pulling on tactics a bit more for a shot at cleansing strike. would be able to replace steiner as my knight, he gets the slot because i have sword art stock break, but i'd swap him out for agrias in a heartbeat if i can get either of her SB's. CS especially seems great since i also have banishing blade, between that + breakdowns + standard party mitigation it seems like it would be pretty a pretty busted setup.
