New aura status for SBs got found in jp, along with a new param check tied to SBs AND ability that raises the dmg cap from 9999 to 99999, so seems Cloud's next tier of SB will both break the dmg cap for him as well as provide a new buff aura, also seems an ability is going to be tied to brk dmg cap, so won't be limited to the new SB tier.

Its a separate aura buff, so it might stack with the ultimate weapon (assumption due to max dmg cap break) SBs, plus the break dmg aura applies to other SBs, so the shitty high mod single hit SBs (Buster Sword, Revolver, Brotherhood, etc) will have some new use with it.

Humm, haven't checked their actual multipliers, but most of those single hit SBs ( which means the early 5*s ) have fairly weak. Don't think they even hit for 9999 to begin with.

New whm abyss lucky banner got mined, they're changing the abyss banners from being 25 mythril with only 1 pull to UNLIMITED 50 mythril abyss banner.

Same, will be so pissed if they do this next month during our whm banner, saving up myth anyway for clouds new SB tier if it does indeed break the dmg cap.

I certainly hope that's not true. I'd be fine with first pull being half-price and then you can pull again an unlimited ammount of pulls for the normal price. But the lucky banners are simply not worth it if they're only full price imo.

Exactly, only way this might be acceptable is if they make it current tier weapons only (i.e. SSBs/BSSBs) and even then might not be worth a pull depending how decked you are, hopefully they revert it after hearing from the jp players.

They just don't know yet if it will be 25 or 50 mythrils

If I had to choose between unlimited 50 mythril luckies and 25 mythril single luckies, I'd just do a single. Unless the first pull is 25, of course.

At 50 mythril, even with unlimited draw they would really need to cull the options for the pool to be worthwhile. Maybe not 7 options like a straight up banner, but they need to do something else to make it worth that amount of mythril vs a regular banner.

Either 25 mythril with the expanded pool, or 50 mythril with a limit at 5* whm SB's.

This is already the case though but they need to remove old and outdated relics or relics that have no business being on that specific banner to begin with (see Beatrix in this case). Simply include every AoE heal, SSB and BSSB for the actual healers and that's it. With this selection I'd drop 50 on it but we just don't know yet. I still think that a banner with such a wide selection of relics is not worth 50 mythril unless you have nothing else to pull from.
We'll see soon enough, i hope the first pull is still at 25 and then it goes unlimited for those willing to invest more.

Yeah thats how the lucky banners work, but like you said I meant more pruning stuff off that isn't working anymore (like Selphie's Morning Star) and limiting it to choices that would be worth the 50 mythil spent (HotF would/should probably be the low end on a banner like that for a benchmark). I don't have problems with items like Beatrix being on the banner, but it should be focused on relevant heals for 50 mythril.

Also, I don't think I'd do lucky banners for 50... I have't really gotten anything "good" from a Job/type specific "lucky banner"... the only reason i do it is because its half price.

Ditto on pulling lucky because they're 25 but that's because I'm a F2P pleb and not someone actually spending money.

If you're a gambler type, unlimited lucky seems like a good place to plunk cash on the hopes of spreading around your variety of available relics. Yeah, you might get a Buster Sword or Revolver but you could also pull tons of awesome SSB/BSSB things! Spend money. Spend lots of money. Embrace your inner Bismarck.
