I'm having surprisingly decent luck on major orb drops on this fest; too bad all but one of them have been major fire, I just got my fifth one. Now I have 816 fire, 110 greater fire and 70 major fire orbs. WTF am I supposed to do with all of them?

Next event in JP features new BSSBs for Eiko and Vivi, a bunch of new SSBs and Chain Firaga.
Eiko's is a party Curaga+ Crit up, Vivi's 4 AoE fire/non-ele hits+ Enfire.

Depending on what the next banner looks like and if I'll have 50 mythril saved up, might pull on banner 2, if I pass then i'll at least throw one pull just to see if lucky.

Humm question... what is Chain Blizzaga / Firaga? I tried googling but aside from results that say "save for it" all I can find is a youtube vid which shows something that looks like a single target nuke.

So Chain blizzaga is 2x blizzaga dunno the multiplyer (probably 4x with the RM if it procs)

Multiplier seems same as regular Blizzaga, so unless if you are hitting weakness (which most times we will ) or have en-ice or imperial ice or tons of MAG buffs, its not that great compared to aja spells or meteor.

The overall FF8 banners from this event seem weaker in total selection. Some individual items are nice (Irvine, Edea), but on the whole I'm not planning on anything outside 100 pulls.

If you're spending money though (or have Rata level luck) then pull away. Irvine is a pretty good wall break and Edea is good mage party buffer + helps with Record Dive Ifrit. But pulling for mage meta here seems silly when FF4 is all mage meta.

Another chance at Selphie Stick 2 is nice, but I certainly wouldn't pull or whale on this banner just for Squall. Too much "meh" stuff.

Banner 2 is a very solid banner, unless you already have the majority of it, Selphie's SSB is still considered top tier whm relic (think Aerith's BSSB may dethrone it depending how ult ++ works out and having a future party of lvl 99s), Zell's SSB is top tier even though he's a mnk, only relic that ends up doing what it does better will be Jecht's SSB, other 3 are good gear if you need the synergy, with Edea's being a Kefka Cloak clone which is good for mage parties (until Edward SB) and Seifer and Rinoa SB being decent.
