I usually pull for realms I have shit synergy for (X being one of them) and I suck at willpower... but even I've scrapped together about 80 Mythril so far... still going through Story dungeons trying to get back to 100 (I'd have like 150 if not for the misc. pulls I've done here and there trying to beef up my Synergy + the SMN Draw).

i'm normally horrible at stockpiling mythril, but the last month or so has been a weird mixture of lackluster banners and banners that feature great relics i already own. only one after beatrix that really tempted me was lightning's BSSB, but it didn't seem worth plowing a lot of mythril into when there was a chance the headliner would be back in a few weeks in the fest.

Yeah unfortunately we won't see 4* motes till then and even then its a useless amount of 4x of each which only pays for 1 upgrade, however it gets much better with the 2nd Mote dungeon, they ramp up the motes to 20x until it gets to the point where you get 48x just from the 5th Mote Dungeon.

Edit: oh if you are also including 3* motes, no, we get 3* motes as an additional reward for the Bonus Battles, not to mention they'll add a monthly amount (probably in 3-4 months) of 20x of each 3* mote in the Greens Shop, so we'll have plenty enough for our favorite characters to max out 3*.

Yeah, as I said earlier, I'm saving the 4* ones for Onion Knight. The 3's I'll spend on the characters I use the most (As of right now: Ramza, Bartz, Gilgamesh, Lightning, Kuja, Celes, Shadow, Aerith).

I'll probably get Tidus his spellblade upgrade. The rest is a lot to think about... I kind of want Quistis at 5* BLM.

I think at least i'll get Tyro his 3* HP and ATK upgrades and same with Beatrix, Shadow, and Ramza, after that i'm not 100% sure who i'll upgrade next, all the other characters I use don't really get any significant upgrades so i'm probably gonna go with Uzor's plan and hoard for Onion Knight.

No worries man, I'm at 20 Mythril and haven't even pulled on Summoner Lucky Banner because I lack the mythril. Fest banners have never given me shit anyways, and I wanted to try for Lightning BSB at least.

I swear to god they better make his a god like support and not just a straight up 99k dmg. Depending on how good these banners will be, I may continue to just hoard for a 50 on FFGM banner, not really hurting for any relics in JP.
