Also I saw this on Reddit so I may as well add this notice here, alot of people are bitching that the motes aren't a weekly thing, they are a monthly refresh in Greens Shop even in JP.

Edit: Also we got this WAY freakin earlier then JP, so thats a really good thing, cause we'll have more of a buildup of 3* Motes then JP got when this was implemented.

You know I just realized..... Dena must think no one has ever played FFXI, FFXIV is about to get its near full cast and has had 3 events and all FFXI has is a collab for GM on JP and a more then likely lvl 50 capped Shantotto with no relics on Global .

Finished the basic DU for JP and it shows that in addition to FF12 and 8 that we saw in the banner preview, we're also getting more FFXI dungeons next DU, shows the Zilart Bros so i'm assuming its up to beginning of 5-1.

To be fair, XIV did a "better" job of laying out the makings of a cast from the start. XI is kind of an initial clusterfuck with the city splits, with eventual unification come Zilart and later expansions. But even then, it's not until Rhapsodies where some of them even begin to interact with their predecessors.

Even on top of that, XI was almost built where *you* were the main character that linked all the other intersecting lines together. XIV was kind of built where you were one of the WoL that was part of an existing group of established characters. A lot harder to come up with implementation for XI reps than XIV.

Lion, Prische and Luzaf seem like no brainers to me to accompany Shantotto though.

And to add to that, a 3-way FFXI event for the initial cities I think would be kind of neat. Make the rewards somewhat similar across the board that locks you into one path. I can easily come up with 10 different stages for each city and then follow it up a few months later with a Promathia event.
