i mean for XII specifically, each boss in those stages is accompanied by 3 adds. one fight requires you to kill all of them, the other doesn't.

good to know, I'll take a look. thanks for the info! even without trash though, my damage is so pitiful on this level of difficulty. I've been mostly relying on Double Cut and 3* spellblades; that works fine at 90 but for some reason when you hit 99 the jump in HP/def hits you pretty hard. with Shout it might not be so bad though, especially if there are no trash mobs to wade through. that and I just need more 4/5* abilities overall
The first boss requires you to kill all 4 targets but adds have low HP, AoE abilities (aka summons) will quickly take care of them. Can ignore adds on the second boss but they have similar HP values anyway.

To be fair, I don't think anyone would really complain about anything other than white. The only time I've ever used major white is for multi-break. And well... the only time that gets used is when tyro's in party for stuff like nightmare.
I use Multi Break with Mehnelo all the time.
powerchain uses white as well, but yeah, outside of those two skills i don't think i've ever found any use for them outside of conversion for filling out 4* hones. there's very little coming up that uses them as well, and the abilities that use them all have white as a secondary (6>12>24 etc.).
And I could use Major Dark to R2 Multi Break and R3 Bahamut. And in the distant future, R3 Thief's Revenge.
The new Curaja+Esuna skill in JP uses White, save 'em for that
Also upcoming changes to Nightmare dungeons in JP (not to be confused with our Nightmare, this is the lvl 200+ dungeon with trash):
-Continue option (both mythril and gems) removed,
-Stamina requirements increased BUT if you get a Game Over you'll be refunded,
-Monster drops adjusted (can drop up to Major Orbs).
I have a severe lack of dark orbs since I r3'ed dark zone so I'd rather have that.too many white orbs.

Wow, these are really going to suck not being able to hit and run or regain hones after 6 waves of level 250 trash.
As for the heal, as someone with a good healer burst (Y'shtola BSB), I find r2 way more than enough, and someone who doesn't have a good healer burst will probably want the much easier to hone curaja, so it still doesn't put a large dent in the white orbs.
Yea, I know the feeling. While I like the challenge of CMs, I'm not very fond of the idea that they are on the highest tier of content currently, as doing them means my A-team has no real purpose unless I have to go back and master the fight after a CM win which I generally don't need to when 2-3 of the target scores effectively amount to "use full break" every time. The current system in JP strikes a much better balance with the U++ fights being balanced for A-teams and U+ being CM fights.
Don't worry, soon enough we'll shift to the U+ only phase for CMs so you can bring your A teams to Ultimates again. Unless they decide to add CMs for Global obviously.
And by soon I mean in a couple events. I think the shift happens in the next XIII event.
