I should know the answer to this but I don't, can s/l be used to get rm like raw power to trigger or is it determined once and persistent? edit: as it would apply to 1 round boss fights like in the Colosseum event.

Trigger rate is independent of round and you can s/l to get a start proc. This materia was used by some in the 9 event for the U++ to get shellga up before the spam. Basically, if it didn't go off, people restarted.

Same does not apply to EXP materia, where it either procs as the battle loads or not.

1 stam ultimate+ dungeons are more stam efficient than sundailies in terms of EXP (16-32k per 1 stam run vs ~6700 per stam on sundaily assuming mastery before RM procs are taken into consideration), but obviously a huge time sink grinding it 1 stam at a time, and the difficulty is way higher.

that's a pretty big jump. but yeah, you'd have to have a lot of time on your hands to grind that way.


then again, we're on a forum full of people who XP'd on colibri for hours untold, so...

Unless you can kill an U+ in less than 3 minutes with an exp party you're not going to get much efficency out of that anyway. It's more efficient on paper but it's totally impractical.

oh no it's a totally awful idea. just kind of neat theorycrafting to realize it works.


also, it's pretty difficult to beat U++ with just a few team members, and you probably wouldn't get Champion for the XP bonus, and using the break method would be fairly difficult thus further minimizing your gains.

eh, unless you're absolutely swimming in MSO, i'd say hold out for tiamat. but i also pulled rydia's burst so that kind of obviates the need to use/hone titan.

you know it, that's a good ass word and i use it wherever i can

also: i forgot chain stonega exists now, so if you really need/want multihit magic earth damage just hone that to R2. you'll get four uses and probably cap just as easy vs titan since you're likely only using either one in situations where you're exploiting weakness.

I'm excited about the Dark summon (Ultima) and Wind (Tiamat) but it feels like I need insane MAG to get any use out of her.

494 base mag with 2x 30% buff, devotion RM, and burst mode gets you to the 1200 mag needed for 3 hit tiamat. Not difficult to get the base MAG for it (natural 5* RS weapon easily gets it with a level 90s SMN), but need some luck with gacha to get the buffs. My level 99 alphinaud with maxed record spheres in JP hits that mark in all realms with an augmented 5+++ onion knight staff under the above conditions.

Well, I have half that. Lulu could get me one 30% buff, but then I'd need Krile or another MAG+ SB like Celes or OK to get the rest of the way there.

Then I'd have to pick a summoner to uncap.
