I have the 5 star one that has native chance of sap; but if I have any Synergy equip, she can do swords, spears, daggers, and hell even whip (in ff4 I could use rydia's ice whip+1 lol) so there's always that

I like Faris as a character but iirc she has pretty poor stats doesn't she? Even for a support I think her attack is low unless my memory sucks. That being said, not like default stats matter that much unless they are god awful.

Unrelated but I discovered today that I have never cleared the Heroic dailies for today. Yay for 2 more Mythril for Tactics hoarding

Faris and Fran are more or less the same thing.

Fran: 3* BLM, 5* Celerity, 5* Support
Weapons - Bow, Spear, Dagger

Faris: 5* Support, 5* Thief, 4* Celerity, 4* Dancer
Weapons - Bow, Spear, Sword, Dagger

They both have 3* Attack, Their usability strictly relies on whether or not you have their SB Weapons. In essence Faris is just and AoE version of Fran.

Fran: Whip Kick - Single target damage + lowers Defense/Resistance. And she gets 5* Celerity

Faris: Kindred Spirit- Physical damage to all targets + lower Defense/Resistance. And she gets 4* Dancer

I masterd Fran's Loxley Bow and just put a decent 5* polearm on her, she does decent damage that way. Just get a polearm+ RM. I still keep the Loxley Bow around for utility though, ie: if I come across a fight where physical attacks can't reach the mob. And Fran does come with a Bow+ RM so it's now too bad if you had to swap her to it.

Also, Faris also gets Sea Lord's Broadside: 4 ranged physical attacks on all targets and lowers attack/Magic. Between that and Kindred Spirit it's basically AoE Full Break in 2 turns. Assuming you have enough SB charged.

Faris really only shines over Fran in fights where you have to fight more than 1 boss in a single fight. Like the tentacles in Figaro Castle, or that one Ultimate people were talking about with the four specters that switch places.

I was just thinking Steal power + breakdown or full break. The and support allows for some good damage and mitigation at the same time.

Though Vaan also has 4 star support so he can do the same thing (though he doesn't have ranged, I don't think; and with steal power, Faris dmg shouldn't be bad anyways)

Basically Faris Is fucking awesome if you have her relic or synergy. She brings nothing to the table otherwise.

Well, let's not forget that she gets access to Dance 5 and Machinist 4 through Record Dive, which not only gives her access to Break Fever (AoE full break with damage) and the status inflicting bullets of Machinist. Basically, one of the best supports in the game for damage negation. Ramza is the best if you're going a more buffing route as he overall has better stats.

I mean, really. Support, Thief AND Dancer 5*, on top of 4* machinist and celerity. And an awesome AoE full breakDOWN BSSB with attack and armor break on attack/defend. Faris is certainly hard to beat with all that as she can singlehandedly reach the mitigation cap on both magic and physical in an AoE radius.

Tyro is the only one that really beats her utility-wise, as his also gives protectga and shellga. But it's not AoE I believe.

That's assuming it doesn't take months to upgrade her to dnc5, given how rare 4 star record orbs are atm, plus by the time you get it, someone better might get dnc5 and might have a better support bssb (looks at Ramza). It's best atm to look at their base utility, but if you end up pulling her bssb, i'd say it'll be worth the time to build her to dnc5.

We got 6 months of prep time compared to jp, so we will of course have a better idea of who'll be best support when we hit this point.

It's also att and magic breakdown for her burst commands, which do indeed free up her abilities for more support.

I got all cores except berserker to 50, along with galuf to 80, kefka to 65, and I might get exdeath to 65 tomorrow before it ends.

I'm saving my refreshes for the next two phases. especially if one phase is both summon and power orbs together? ALL THE REFRESHES

How many refreshes you used?

I used maybe 3 and got Terra to 80 Exdeath and Leon to 65

So according to Reddit and it kinda made sense

For every global orb fest ( including this one), phase 1 had black orbs phase 2 had white orb, phase 3 is summon and phase 4 is power

Now for the other 2 orbs, they seem to follow daily

Phase 1 was earth + fire ( Monday) phase 2 is wind + lightning ( wed)

So people thinking phase 3 is summon + dark + holy.
Phase 4 is power + non elemental + ice

Nothing is for sure but it makes a bit of sense
