Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, every knows I spend money on this game but to me this seems like one of the few you can make progress without spending money at all. There is always something to do. You don't seem to hit that wall where you are forced to spend. Granted you are new so the hard fights probably wont work. Like all said, get stamina, save mythril and level on Sundays.

I suppose it's possible to hit a wall if your RNG luck is shit at least for the ultimate/soon to be ultimate+ fights, but in general, spending is pretty unnecessary. There's SSB fest banners coming up that'll be great for you to do x11 relic pulls on in search of a Hastega/Wall (Sentinel's Grim/Thyrus)/AoE cure AKA the Trinity so definitely save your mythril for that.

Sidenote: Bahamut SIN gave me enough MPOs to take Full Break to R3... fuck year.

Very true and even when they do add a wall that requires top gear (JP lvl 255 Ifrit fight), they make sure it'll return later when you have better gear from spending in-game currency.

Did way better then I thought on 9 ult+, got him to little below half before dmg output failed, with no good melee SBs, except for Faris bssb, and no good synergy gear.

Yeah, some of my sinergy is terrible as well. This is the second IX banner I'm pulling like crazy on and I only got 1 piece of sinergy armor out of it :/

OMG!!! Exdeath ultimate in global excitement again! Was biting my knuckles all of 50% P2, he was very nice and kept spamming attack on my tauntaliater. So happy!

Also I notice on a couple chars I get mastery points after the battle.. is that only for those character's specific types of weapons?

Mastery points are points you get after battle (%based off exp got), that goes toward permanently learning a character unique SB that is on a unique 5 star SB equipment, shared SBs can't be learned and once mastered, can still be equipped to that character even if you switch out the relic. For example, buster sword equipped to Cloud will teach him the SB on it, but equipping it on someone other then Cloud won't teach it to them.
