FFRK - Fang's Oath (FFXIII) Event & Boss Strats

Mine is basically in order of fighting with Ruby still being the hardest so far. Bart was definitely challenging but timing the cape made Ruby a nightmare.

I'd go with the same order as Tyrath, personally.

ExDeath was ass because of the Dispel chance. Poorly timed rebuffs were my bane for that one. Other than that, Yunalesca wasn't so bad even with my fuck up of not bringing Shellga to reduce Holy damage.

Bart was a dick until I switched from the standard turtle strat and subbed in HH instead of SS2/SG. I actually had Bart counter-Dispel 4 times in a row one time. The switch to debuffing him versus buffing myself is what did it.

I haven't tried Bart yet but honestly none of the others have seemed difficult so far. I've struggled more with bosses from previous challenge events than I have with the ultimates.

IMO, Barth > Rubicante > Exdeath = Yunalesca, as far as difficulty goes.

First attempt at Barth I didn't bring shell (was counting on boon, big mistake), but mastered it on second try (Advance + retaliate for cheapness). Indeed, Fang being involved hurts, and Dispel counter is def. not a 30% chance...more like 90% (eyeballing).

and agree with rata that everything I've read makes godo seem like the easiest U so far since sap will do quite a bit of damage while I turtle up.

I feel dirty. 1 shot with no SL with retaliate. Been too busy with BnS to full focus into an Ultimate.

Lol. I did it with retaliate too. This fight I don't consider it to be too much of a stretch though because the mechanics of the fight are basically pointing you towards a reflect/retaliate strat. You can of course do it without either, I'm not trying to say you can't.

Took a short break from the game so only now started on the + battles. Figured I might as well try the Tyro solo retaliate strat for the hell of it. Was fairly entertaining ( obviously easy ). Only pain in the ass was when I got quadruple hit at the very beginning before retaliate went up.
