So, by throw away a morning, I mean you need to get there at like 6 and then wait in line till they open at 11. Whenever I did it when I lived in Austin, we'd bring beer and cards/board games and just hang out in line. People typically order multiple pounds of brisket to take home since you're spending so much time waiting -- it's not somewhere you go just to eat one meal.

That sounds pretty amazing, particularly since they let you drink in line. Might try for either Saturday or Sunday mornings.

My friend lives in Austin, but he's new to the area (3 months or so), so we'll be staying at his place, and just going back and forth to SA (or wherever) our heart desires.
