Fox news is literally calling it a political hit job.

I'm not very inclined to believe fox news about anything when it comes to Planned Parenthood.

So, the reasons you are just making this shit up.

    1. They used fake California drivers licenses.

    2. You are completely wrong about the intent. Intent is not the crime here. Simple solicitation of human organs is illegal.

So, I can only conclude that you know nothing of the situation, and read nothing about the actual indictments, because your comments miss the mark AND ignore half of the indictments.

Political hit job indeed. A political hit job against Republicans... in Texas.
My mark is fine. I can't recall an instance, nor find any articles otherwise, which show journalists, of any kind, being charged for using fake IDs to miss-represent who they are, to the people they want to investigate. If we did, then how would many non-government undercover investigations be done? That's why that charge is fairly absurd.

As for the buying/selling bit, why they chose to consider CMP's letter, of $1,600 to purchase fetal baby parts, but ignored the video tapes of PP bartering on said fetus baby parts price? Since grand jury proceedings are usually sealed, we may never know what evidence they were able to consider and what evidence was never given to them. It also doesn't matter if a Republican or Democrat was in charge of this process; it's the result that at issue, which seems appropriate to label as political and a hit on the defendant.

As for intent, I'm not wrong about it, but that's getting into the trial part. Be that as it may, there's very little reason to believe any prosecutor can prove intent, beyond a reasonable doubt, when dealing with investigative journalism scenario, which begs the question of why you would indict on those charges, given said circumstances.

There's a difference between a credentialed journalist or federal agent versus what these people were doing. So no it's not that absurd.

If you are believing anything in those videos with how doctored they are, I got a bridge to sell you. It's been established they can't sell for profit, but they can negotiate on how much of the costs to safekeep and deliver the parts. That is why now to avoid any confusion, PP said they will be eating the full cost of safekeeping, packing and transporting.

Except that wasn't investigative journalism. That was a straight up hit job against PP to try to get it shut down.

Just to close the loop on this, a Texas judge dismissed the final charges on David Daleiden:
