Not only that Biden merely suggested it and they ended up confirming them after Biden said something like it was their duty.

It's politics. There will be plays at delays or at least talk of it because you can't not when so much of your voting base thinks it can actually work and want it but they know they can't keep this up long enough. At best it might encourage a pick they dislike less than the others Obama has done
