That little black 4-leaf symbol next to Pikachu's stats in hyper training, is that the new blue diamond for XYORAS?

So, uh, Hyper Training apparently allows you to max IVs of your pokemon with bottle caps, which is unknown how you get at this point. http://www.serebii.net/sunmoon/hypertraining.shtml

edit: I was thinking maybe the new Battle Tower type thing in this game maybe?

Thats going to be a huge help for breeders like me who shiny breed and the pokemon is missing one ore two important IVs, hoping the bottle caps won't be a huge PITA to get.

Well, each new gen as catered more and more to the competitive/breeding/endgame community.
They've implemented one feature after another to streamline breeding and battle areas.
The content volume added to each gen seems exponential; it's all become much easier than it once was.

Gen 2: Can breed; can soft reset.
Gen 3: Everstones retain nature of holder 50% of the time; Flame Body/Magma Armor Abilities halve egg hatching time; Synchronize ability matches nature of wild/gift mon to nature of mon with Synch 50% of the time.
Gen 4: EV-enhancing "Power" items retain 1 IV 100%, bike pathing around day care centers enhanced for ease of egg hatching; expanded battle frontier; berries and wings can "undo" EV gains, allowing EV manipulation of leveled mons; revelation of Masuda method for shiny breeding.
Gen 5: Everstones retain nature of holder 100% of the time; 60% chance to inherit Hidden Ability of mother; particular areas implemented with a cluster of mons yielding the same EVs for ease of EV training; lower difficulty on battle subway; IV checker in subway; PWT offers alternative method of accruing BP; black tower/white tree and lucky egg obtained through plot allow for faster leveling; enhancement of Masuda method and implementation of Shiny charm.
Gen 6: Destiny Knot item retains 5 of the holder's IVs; 80% chance to inherit Hidden Ability of mother and 20% from father; Super Training allows maxing of EVs w/o ever battling; Amie enhances non-competitive client-based combat; Battle Maison even easier than subway; Ability Goggles let a mon swap between its two standard Abilities; IV checker and breeder on ORAS are in adjascent buildings, and bike path for egg hatching loops around them; field Legendaries usually possess 3-5 perfect IVs; Blissey secret bases make leveling a joke.

And now we can maipulate IVs through training? I wonder how else they'll hold our hands.

I think they're just wanting to open up breeding to more people instead of the super hardcore, I know alot of people who played Pokemon X and Y that didn't touch breeding outside of Pokedex because "I don't have the time to sit there and grind through eggs just to get the perfect pokemon". Plus by doing this it'll help resolve the complaints to remove IVs because competitive pokemon is only for breeders (assuming of course bottle caps are easy enough to obtain).

I grinded out a perfect IV/EVs Eeveelutions team with perfect movesets in X

and then never even got them to level 100.

    Or ever battled with them.

Good, about time they did something about IV. It was really an entry barrier to the end game in Pokemon and included more people is always good. Most serious battlers just use generators for the stats anyways.

If you're interested enough, over on LiveJournal there is a PKMNCollectors community where people buy/sell/trade. Prices are normally cheap to very reasonable. An Omega Ruby was sold for 35$ recently. The only Heart Gold I saw they wanted 200$ because it was mint with box and Pokewalker, but I've seen others in the past for I want to say like 40$? If you meant Fire Red instead of Omega Red, there is a cart only in someones sales post for >20$. I don't remember and I closed the tab.

Most, if not all sales posts are community locked so you need to join. You can buy right away when you join. Heck, you can join and post looking to buy those games and see if you get any hits.

I don't get why its worth so much when you can emulate it on a phone or why the game catridge is so rare. I have mine and the walker but after I beat a pokemon game I usually just sit it there to collect dust lol.
