Some of y'all are still provisionally registered for me so I'll put mine up again, 3755 - 1125 - 8895
Lemme know if you need anything bred, I've got quite a collection now and I can pop out decent~great IV pokemon in the blink of an eye
I used to be all about trading back then until I had the idea of catching them all by myself >_> Having a living dex with the OT being my name is more rewarding... and time consuming :/
There are a remarkable number of Pokemon that need to be bred because you can't actually catch them anywhere, too. A lot more than I thought there would be. Now it's less "gotta catch em all" and more "gotta breed em all"
I'm behind on breeding. How do you breed a pokemon you dont have?
Wait, where can you not catch a ghastly anymore? That doesn't sound right.
Edit: Damn, just checked serebii and youre right. Ghastly hasnt been available to catch freely since Gen 5 without breeding. Weird. I could have sworn it was showing up in friend safaris in X/Y.
I know the baby pokemon (Pichu, Munchlax, Tyrogue, etc) can only be obtained through breeding.
What really gets fun is when only the baby can learn specific egg moves that the adult cannot, like in Togepi line. So you have to breed 2-3 generations of pokemon because you have to breed the moves using a hold item, evolve it, breed a 2nd gen with good IV's now holding IV/nature transfer items.
Need to have what your names are next to your FC codes for those of us who can't guess, aaa. That's the hardest thing for me to do, Haha.
Best way to breed is with a ditto, you can breed literally everything with a ditto as the other parent. If you want to breed good IV pokemon a 6 IV ditto is the best solution but if you just want to breed for your pokedex, any old ditto will do. Ditto can be caught in both XY and ORAS so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting one (unless the mirage island with ditto never pops for you in ORAS). If you need a Gastly just breed a Haunter/Gengar with Ditto, and so on for any other pokemon.
Dumb question
If I take my Y raichu and transfer it to Oras with pokebank
Will oras know I had a pikachu evolved or will pikachu pokedex not be filled?
Pikachu won't be filled in that example. (Besides you'd need Pichu anyways)
So if i want 100% in a game, i need to try to get all the first evolutions in that said game, and evolved them from that game
Pretty much. I've been using this site (https://pokedextracker.com) for a visual checklist, though you won't really be able to see full progress ingame until you get national dex (I'm approximating right now by just flipping through Bank and remembering what I have physically evolved so far).
My team is just starter and a HM slave, I just rotate the other 4 slots with things I want to evolve right now. I should just blaze to the end with one of the raised 'mons I brought over from White but zzzz.
Yeah using that site, for living dex, was just wondering how to 100% in game dex, (with caputred pokemon) which seems almost impossible
Because if you do get 100% Ingame dex caputred wise in ORAS, you'll have to 'start' over in Sun/moon
It's why some people collect for a "living" dex and put it on pokebank. I'm kind of trying for that as I go, just need enough duplicates to cover that many spaces.
YEah but what i mean is exemple in ORAS I have a charizard, i'm not sure if i wanna start a new game to get a charmander, to keep it as a charmander until sun/moon to transfer it there to evolve it as a charmeleon in sun/moon to fill the pokedex.
I mist just keep my Charizard, and says fuck Charmander and Charmeleon in game, and just check them in my living dex, because I know i had a charmander that i evolved twice
Anyone around today who could help with some evolution trades? I'm trying to evolve my Kadabra, Machoke, and Graveler.
I can now if you want
You don't need to evolve it in Sun/Moon for credit, you just have to have physically owned the form at one point. Like if I put Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard in my bank all I have to do is put all 3 into Sun/Moon and I'll get credit for all 3. Then I can put them back in if I want. So if you have a "complete" living dex it only takes like a minute to transfer that to the next game.
And uh, you know breeding is a thing right? <_< Don't need to start a new game for more starters. Ditto baby factory, go.
