I mean Ariados can Megahorn and it's a fucking spider ._.
Breeding rejects. When you are going through the trouble of breeding, a breeder will rarely settle for having anything besides the dump stat be imperfect. However even with Destiny Knot, perfect IV parents, and Everstone the chances are still 30 to 1 that your baby has five perfect IVs not six and there's a 5 to 1 chance that the imperfect IV is on a stat you need vs. your dump stat. Plus it is likely that you are using a 5 IV parent and a perfect Ditto to breed (since if you had a 6 IV parent you wouldn't be breeding anyway), which makes the odds even worse since one of the five IVs the system selects could be the imperfect parent's dump stat.
So getting an egg where you have five perfect IVs with the imperfect IV on the stat you actually don't care actually takes quite a few tries. Even more when you factor in Hidden Abilities because it's not 100% to pass those.
Breeding is much easier than previous generations, but it is by no means just a few minutes of hatching. Factor in the work to create a perfect Ditto legitimately, and that is precisely why people that breed their Pokemon frown upon those who use generated mons.
I hope that if dexnav returns, they introduce a "walk" button you can hold for sneaking because accidentally going full tilt on the circle pad is the worst, especially for surf/cave dexnav stuff that moves.
At least chaining doesn't actually do anything in ORAS, to my understanding. Just the act of dexnav'ing is enough.
e: I'm finding I have better control by just taking the "cover" off of the circle pad, oddly enough.
I think that those just unlock at higher encounter #s. I will say chaining seems to help the chances of getting multiples of egg move/HA/IVs. It definitely helps with level, not that that's particularly important.
I've gotten some 3IV HA eggmove encounters pretty early into a chain; currently farming Pelippers for Lucky Eggs and I always lose them once they start speeding up and running away so I know my chain never gets very high.
If "search power" (number encountered) is basically taking the place of chains, I'm all for that.
Just ran into a Shiny Larvesta.
Hit it with False Swipe.
It follows up with Take Down.
Son of a bitch.
Damn, that hurts me. I want one of those pretty bad. Larvesta is one of the best bug pokemon.
You people and your luck. Last shiny I saw was in like Diamond.
So Is it me or Oméga ruby is fast? Just lv 20 and already 3 gyms done
No, it felt like one of the longer games to me and certainly longer than XY. Just wait until you unlock Surf and Dive D:

X and Y have way higher numbers on here.
Most games you're in the mid 50s when you fight the Elite 4 or at least the pokemon they use are and the champ usually has 1+ lvl 60. I don't remember R/S or OR/AS being much different than other pokemon games as far as main story goes time-wise. There's a lot more things to do after the E4 in OR/AS than X/Y though. And speaking of X/Y the gap between the first gym and second was pretty huge compared to other pokemon games. The longest main series game by far is Gold/Silver and HG/SS by extension. Just by the fact you fight 16 total gyms and the E4 twice in the main game, not including all the other things you can do after the main story.
My main team is mostly around level 70 now and I haven't taken on the Elite 4 yet.
Anyone else totally get the Liger Zero feel with that trailer?
I still haven't finished my OR. I want to transfer all my mons to Sun to get my charm early, but the system to buy the bank annoys me. Minimum you can buy is 10$. Bank is 5$ and change if I remember correctly. That leaves me with less than 5 for another year brining me back to the start. Is there another way to activate it without having to bother with that mess?
Didnt they update the eShop where you can purchase just the difference in the amount between what you have in your account and what is owed?
So if you have $0.00 in your account and you buy the pokebank sub for $5, you would only be charged $5.
