The "is it 3.4 yet" boredom on FF14 was setting in for me, so I ended up recently getting a used copy of Pokemon Black, as well as a subscription to the Pokemon Bank. I seem to recall there was an "Add Required Funds" or similarly named button that you could use to add the exact $4.99 or whatever needed to buy it, and I had never bought anything over the Nintendo Network prior to that.

The used copy of Pokemon Black I got apparently had a 750+ hour file already on it, so I ended up spending a couple nights importing everything off of it plus my old Diamond and SoulSilver games onto my Y game and the Pokemon Bank. I noticed a lot of potentially hacked/cloned pokemon on it (lol @ shiny Spiritomb with Wonder Guard and V-Create), though surprisingly I was still able to transfer a lot of other stuff over without it being blocked, I'm guessing it was still within "legit" game parameters. Afterwards, I ended up wiping the save so I could run through it myself and have something new to play, since I had originally skipped over the Black/White games.

Aside from possible storyline-related stuff/legendaries, is there any reason I should get a copy of Black 2 or White 2 or ORAS (mostly for potentially importing to Sun/Moon when they come out), or is it fairly safe to just not worry about them? I've played through the original Ruby/Sapphire, but again, I've never played the Black/White/Black 2/White 2 games.

I have heard some people say Black 2 is the best game in the series, but I haven't played it myself.

I got bored of the repeated locations so close after playing the first one. Now it's too late to make the shift back to 2D

HGSS is the best game, BW2 is worth getting. What truly shined in BW2 was the post game content it offered, the story is good but BW1 had a better story..

Got a shiny lv1 Impish Skitty with fully PPmax'd out moves (Wish BatonPass CosmicPower SuckerPunch) through wonder trade. While I don't have access to IV checker just yet, I have a suspicion it's 6 31s.

Feels bad, man.

I mean it could be legit, but maxing out PP on something you aren't raising just seems off to me. More than it being shiny.

Getting back into ORAS again, making fun 3v3 teams. I think beating random people that use 6 shiny, perfect, obviously-not-hacked-at-all legendaries might be my favorite thing ever in this game.

So many rage quits, I feel like I'm playing SFV again. Warms the heart

I've seen quite a few videos like this on the youtubes, it really is amazing. The real kicker is those hackers that feel the need to use 6 shiny mega pokemon.

Haha wow I didn't even know that was possible. The worst I've run into so far was some guy running a shiny Darkrai holding a Lax Incense. I would Magic Bounce his Dark Void and he kept dodging it and trying to sleep me again, lol. Would have lost if the rest of his team wasn't absolutely terrible.

Funniest is always the teams with 6 hacked sturdy shedinjas, can't kill them without a trapper and someone to burn the first one, because they ALL have the status cure berries and recycle >.>

Can stealth rock kill through sturdy? If so then that would have worked also

Yeah Sturdy only blocks direct damage.

Hell, all you need is Sandstorm or Hail and that whole team is wrecked. Or Toxic, or Burn.

As an aside, entry hazards are a big reason I don't really like competitive singles and (as another aside) a reason I'd like to see more mainstream doubles and triples. I also think horde trainer battles were a huge wasted opportunity in that you only really had one, twice.

Also I dislike the entry hazard meta mostly because you can't teach Defog to half of the meta that is supposed to be able to Defog
