I swear dream world hidden abilities are just about non-existant. Finally managed to find a piplup, but mudkip and lileep are being a giant pain.

I dunno why these people think a repeatably producible ability has the same value as even "unimportant" legendaries like Uxie, Regirock, or Articuno. I feel for you. I kind of thought HA stuff would be easier to find on GTS.

It's kinda bad in XY because you don't have the DexNav to find wild HA. So even something like Gale Wings Fletchling is rare unless you had one to import and breed.

Protean frogadier is pretty common from friend safari. Speed boost torchic was a mystery gift at the launch of X/Y so I think the only way to get it now is via trade if you don't already have one. Since Dream world no longer exists and the event is long over, the only Speed boost torchics are the ones that already exist and can be bread for more. Might explain the higher demand.

Oh I didn't realize Hoenn starters with hidden abilities were only from a JP-only event, other than XY launch Torchic. That would explain a lot I suppose. I assumed at some point they would have been a internet distribution or bank promotion, like the HA Johto starters on Bank a while back.

I feel like whoever is designing UBs watched a lot of Terraformars recently, or the chimera ant arc of HxH.

As an aside breeding question/confirmation: I checked a bunch of the 3-star Ralts I got while catching a bunch for Synchronize purposes. One had 4 max IVs. I'm guessing what I want to do at this point is breed it with Destiny Knot with another Ralts or Ditto of the nature I want (w/Everstone), until I get better parents (right nature with better IVs, etc) until desired result?

If I have instead say 2 parents each with 3 different maxed IVs, do I wanna just give them each a Power item to pass one of them and roll the dice instead? Until better parents to replace either.

Ah somehow I thought Knot was just passing down the 5 IVs from one parent, not randomly from both. That makes it easier to understand.

Yeah if you are going to breed a lot it's really worth the work to go breed a perfect Ditto or get one somewhere. The time you spend on the Ditto will easily be made up from having an easy to get a parent with 4-5 IVs from one or two eggs.

Also it's worth the work to get a 6 IV Ditto over a 5 IV. Even with a perfect Ditto and a 5 IV partner, it can take hours to get a baby with the right spread of IVs; the chances are MUCH worse with only 5 IV parents.

I thought Ditto was in the "unknown" egg category which means you cant breed with itself.

In X/Y, you can get a guaranteed 3 or more IV ditto from the Pokemon Village (where you fight Mewtwo), or in ORAS the ditto islands that pop can do the same with 3 or more IV's.

I've caught one Ditto so far that registered as 3 stars on Potential, I think it has 4 perfect IVs total but I haven't checked it yet. Seems to be missing Defense and Sp. Attack. If I can make a perfect one I'm going to start breeding these different-region Poke's I've gotten through WT.

You can't hatch a ditto so unless you have one that has 4-6 IVs it's kind of pointless to breed anything with it. The methods for getting a legit 6IV ditto are pretty much wait until you catch one or get one from HGSS using a RNG trick that ensures a 6IV wild encounter. Meaning 99.9% of 6IV dittos are hacked into the game. Them's the breaks. Of course, if you can truly change a Pokemon's IVs legitimately in S&M then legit 6IV dittos are just over the horizon.

Speaking of breeding boxes and boxes of shit, I've got tons of 5IV Noibats, some with Frisk and some with Infiltrator, all Timid nature. If anyone wants one or two of them PM me. Also have a few decent Cleffas up for grabs but they have random natures and abilities ><

I think Ditto is in its own egg group referred to as "ditto", but yeah it can't breed with itself so Gredival's comment about breeding one confuses me.

In any case, if you ever happen to get 5-6 IV males in various egg groups, they can be used as an alternative for breeding if lacking a high IV ditto.

I traded to get my Ditto and I never used it for anything except breeding other Pokemon so I didn't realize you can't hatch Dittos.

Does anyone who has a Y cart have time to nab me a Shellder fishing on Route 8 of Kalos? Unfortunately I have X and all the offers on GTS are rather stupid.
