I'm more surprised that they call it Ash-Greninja in the games. I figured they would create a non-anime-associated name like Bond-Greninja or Synch-Greninja or something. But it's fine. Wonder how good the stats will be considering it needs a kill (without Protean) to achieve the form.

I thought I was 100% team Litten but at this point I'm gonna need to see final evos before I make the call between it and Rowlet. The water one's evo looks alright though.

The feature of letting your idle pokemon do stuff is really cool, though I think it's going to be unintentionally hilarious when hordes of breedjects get sent item hunting.

Also, fucking called Z-moves basically being just "mega moves" (since they are using the same accessory).

Ash-Greninja has powered up thanks to the strength of its bonds with Ash. This is the form Greninja takes when it has gained new power due to the miraculous occurrence known as the bond phenomenon. This can be brought on by the bonds between people and Pokémon. It seems that it has only known to have occurred once—several hundred years ago.

Ash-Greninja's leg strength has been enhanced compared to an ordinary Greninja, making it difficult to see because of the speed at which it can move. It takes its enemies out in a flash! It becomes able to make giant Water Shurikens on its back, and it can throw them in rapid succession.

Greninja that can become Ash-Greninja have an Ability that no Pokémon has ever had before—Battle Bond. The Battle Bond Ability triggers this Pokémon’s form change to Ash-Greninja after it causes an opponent’s Pokémon to faint. When the battle ends, the Pokémon returns to its original Greninja form. This form is only for battles where it needs to break the limits!

So basically Ash will now be game canon? Or rather, there will be a game-canon version of Ash.

They could go really meta and have him give away his Greninja in the show, and this ends up being how you get it in the games.

Looks like the Pokemon Global Link will discontinue for XYORAS on November 1st. "After this, in addition to the Pokémon Global Link & all features within being inaccessible, you will be unable to Game Sync or go on Rating Battle on Battle Spot in the games. All other online functions, including the GTS, Wonder Trade and Free Battle on Battle Spot will remain accessible"

Yveltal you can probably get with some of your extras using the GTS.

Pretty much confirms that it wont be fire/fighting. which is a good thing.
But the design seems like it might be stepping on Arcanine's territory, I dont like that.

Blaziken and Greninja are pretty much it for starters with top level competitive viability right?

Think so, but maybe mega sceptile/swampert are decent as well? Regardless, at a minimum you're looking at HA's just to make the starters useable even though the HA's are top tier. That said, I think serperior is also considered good with contrary, but I can't really think of any others.

I'm loving the Edgeworth memes with Rowlet's middle form lol. It's a bit different from how I was hoping the owl would go but actually it's quite interesting. I hope Litten doesn't become The Orange Hulk but it's not looking good, guys.

Charizard and Venusaur are also OU I believe, as is Contrary Serperior. And Swampert becomes a pretty decent rain sweeper.

I'm on the fence as to which starter I want to get. The possibility of Fire/Dark typing makes Litten seem awesome, but if it's another Fire/Fighting type......smh. As for Rowlet's final evo, if that picture from a previous leak turns out to be true, then I'm totally Team Rowlet. I mean, who wouldn't want a badass archer Pokemon with an Assassin's Creed looking hood? Popplio would only interest me if it's final evo becomes Water/Fairy.

I do know I'm going to get Pokemon Sun instead of Moon just because of Passimian. Anyone willing to trade me an Oranguru from Pokemon Moon once the game is out?

That baby blue color is really hard on the eyes. Has anyone here used a 2DS before? I get that it's a cheap option to play 3DS games, but god damn it just looks so awkward
