That baby blue color is really hard on the eyes. Has anyone here used a 2DS before? I get that it's a cheap option to play 3DS games, but god damn it just looks so awkward

I can say, long playtimes on a 2DS can start to hurt your hand, but generally the controls feel fine. It's what I have for my option, though I'm debating upgrading to a new3DS because it can stream to a PC without a capture card.

Starting to realize it's a little unnecessary to breed 5-6IV males for the purposes of spreading to different egg groups. As is, all I really need to do is

1. (optional) Breed with one of the 3IV dittos I have of the nature I want, maybe get a couple IVs out of it.
2. Breed with one of my 4IV Dittos until I have most/all of its 4.
3. Breed that with another 4IV Ditto that fills the gaps I need.
4. Replace parents as needed to reach 5 IVs.

While also taking egg moves and HAs into consideration. That's a lot more straightforward than... whatever I thought I "needed" to do.

Also anyone have HAs of Pancham, Venipede, Chespin, Tyrunt, or Noibat?

Anything you'd like for them? I have some 5IV breedject Elekids (missing either Atk or SpAtk), 4IV Panchams (missing SpAtk/SpDef), and 5IV regular ability Fletchlings (missing SpA). And a few HAs I can breed for (Eevee Dratini Torchic Carvanha Gible Snivy Froakie Fletchling, and I guess Spinda)

Is it easier to farm hordes and the rare spawning pokemon after you beat the game and get the pokedex? I'm wondering if im doing it the hard way by trying to catch everything in each area as i go along

I'm not sure how the Radar works in X/Y, in ORAS it's the same either way since you have to encounter a Pokemon first before you can DexNav it. It is definitely easier to get HAs through DexNav than in X/Y Hordes.

I hate how bulky the fire cat looks... its making me nervous that absolutely retarded bipedal monstrosity that was leaked is going to actually be his final evolution.

I feel these middle evolutions almost solidify the leaked finals.

Litten got extremely top heavy. His front legs beefed up, fire collar thing.
The leaked final was top heavy, muscular arms, small bottom. Fire belt.

Popplio gained frilly skirts and went quite feminine.
Leaked final looked like a mermaidy seal. Same feminine feel to it.

I like the middle for Litten, but if it ends with that leaked final it kills it completely for me.

I like the other new features with your stored mons, the new interaction area, basically everything shown... if life wasn't sucking the utmost balls at the moment... I might actually be hyped right now.

If it does indeed turn into that thing I'm probably just going to go back to picking grass like I do almost every generation.. despite not feeling any of the evolutions, I dislike the Grass one the least.

Same, sort of. I normally go fire. ORAS i went Sceptile because I dislike Blaziken. I'll go Rowlett if those leaked finals are real.

Found an image to compare the leaks with stage 2. Kinda small though.. or maybe because I'm on my phone.

Robbin "Hoot" looks okay, and I'm fine with the luchador cat, but the sea-lion looks stupid from start to finish. Friggin' clown nose on a mermaid sea-lion... shudder.

I think it's cute but I like Japanese idols which it's based on (assumedly, it's definitely got the frilly outfit and over the top poses going on) so ... I guess it's ok for me... I never use the water starter anyway so whatever...

Just getting tired of perfectly fine looking pokemon getting ruined by them trying to go anthro... and I have no issues with anthro. I was out of the games for a while but it does seem like Lucario has a big part in this. He's incredibly popular in the Pokemon world atleast from a collector stand point. It's like their need to make a stupid electric mouse for every Gen in hopes for another Pikachu.

There were rumors of two final evolutions. I wonder where that went. If there were a choice between which final, and a less ridiculous water one and a more appealing fire one, I'd be happy.

If those are true, Grass has the best design all around, Fire has a good middle and bad end, Water I can actually dig the mermaid but that middle evolution is real dumb looking.

I am digging robin hoot. I don't necessarily mind the clown mermaid. I wanted to go fire this round since I went froakie in X and was torn between froakie and the fire starter. But I just can't get into hulk cat. Maybe when they show off the final evolution videos I'll change my mind on that

I swear I'm never gonna lose a Maison streak to actually losing, it's just gonna be every time that I fall asleep with the game open and low power. Not even totally sure why I'm doing Maison at this point. Not like anything BP-related is going to carry over outside of evo items which I have plenty of. Move tutors I guess?

Incidentally I raised this team except I replaced the Gyrados with a Mega Latias because

A) I didn't want to hatch a goddamn Magikarp
B) The Latias I got through GTS was actually nice (4 maxed IVs, Timid), and it covers Gyrados's switch-ins sort of (resists Surf, EQ immune, resist Fighting)
C) Psyshock / Draco Meteor / Helping Hand / Safeguard(kind of filler but meh). I don't think I have a good gauge for when I'd want to HH over attack in a real situation, but for Maison it's convenient.
D) Felt like a waste to not use a Mega.

So for DexNav chaining, I know that closing your 3DS into sleep mode loses the chain, but what about opening your inventory or gym badge screens to "pause" the chain? From the little testing I did today it makes hidden pokemon stop appearing so it should work right?
