I haven't tried Alolan Raichu yet but I hear it's a pretty good Pokemon. But if you want to evolve an Eevee, Jolteon would be good. Sylveon would also be good. I forget exactly what Docile nature gives in terms of nature buffs/debuffs

Raichu isn't terribly good. It's got pretty strong Special Attack, but its defenses are weak. I used it in my party most of the game and it definitely pulled its weight at certain times to cover for weaknesses the rest of my party had, and it's great to use against anything that's weak to electric or psychic. Its exclusive Z move is pretty cool, but you'd be better off using something else if you're looking to fill your team with top-notch pokemon. I give Alola Raichu like a C+.

Jolteon is in a similar boat. Very fast, very strong special, but total crap defenses iirc. You can catch Eevees by the bucketful on Route 4, so if you want a different nature just catch some of them (or breed two until you get what you want). Umbreon, Vaporeon and Sylveon tend to be the most useful of the Eeveelutions, the former two are tanky as fuck and the latter has awesome special attack/typing (fairy is very strong against a lot of stuff). Due to so many dark pokemon being used in the storyline, Umbreon or Sylveon might be good choices cause they can neutralize those threats.

you can tell what buffs your nature gives by looking at pokemon stats, red is increase, blue is decrease. if they are all the same color its neutral. They added this like 2-3 gens ago XD

Legitimately never knew what the colors were for lol. Hardly paid attention. Good to know.

Just got a Marill from a Wonder Trade. How is this possible? Was it a special thing like Ash's Greninja? It doesn't have a Dex number.

Honestly, if anything, I would have thought red was decrease and blue was increase. Red is a negative color to me and blue a positive.

It's flipped in a lot of japanese stuff, I guess because red is the sentai hero of the power rangers formation? Oh and the color of the Japanese flag of course.

Anyone here happen to have a 5 or 6IV Ditto? I definitely need one, as I've got a Modest Cyndaquil I'd like to start breeding.

I'm currently SOS Chaining for one but I'm not the greatest at it, especially with Ditto. I'm on Chsin 21 but had to go to work.

I can send a "perfect" Modest Cyndaquil in return for the Ditto once I've bred one up for you.

I think the order of level-up Eevolution priority is Leafeon/Glaceon over Espeon/Umbreon over Sylveon. So if it fulfills both happiness and affection I think it's stuck becoming Espeon/Umbreon. Need to feed it something to lower happiness a few steps I believe.

It was Max happy so I got my choice of the 3 if I pet it for a minute and if I remember fairy was pstrong. But idk if that's still true. It's nature sucks and no HA so it's not that important, not sure what's better for story I have neither a dark psychic or fairy.

Gyrados with Bite/Crunch gets me by well enough for dark for the story at least. Beldum after the electric trial evolving into Metagross has been pretty freaking strong for my story team too for psychic

Dark typing seems pretty weak so far because there are tons of bugs and fairies everywhere. I'm thinking of picking up a psychic mainly to deal with poison types (wasn't overly impressed with mudbray)

Not impressed with Mudbray? Are you nuts?!?!?

Mudbray/Mudsdale with Brave nature and Stamina ability was my absolute best storyline Pokémon. It obliterated Poison types with ease using Bulldoze. I also had Double Kick to handle Normal and Dark types.

It's pretty easy to setup an auto ditto chain that basically only requires you to press A a bunch.

1. Get a pokemon with recycle and delete all it's other moves (Munchlax or Trubbish can be taught recycle)
2. Get a pokemon with memento and delete all it's other moves (Grimer or Litwik can be taught Memento)
3. Get a pokemon with Switcheroo and make it hold a Leppa Berry(Alola Persian or Dhelmise)
4. False Swiper
5. Start battle by letting Ditto transform into your recycle mon
6. Switcheroo the Leppa Berry onto the Ditto
7. False Swipe and Adrenaline Orb until it successfully summons an ally
8. Swap to Grimer
9. Reuse Adrenaline Orbs to skip turns
10. Mash A like a madman until 30 ally Dittos have died or until a Shiny shows up (whichever you prefer)
11. Pray to the RNG gods your Ditto has 5-6IVs and not just 4.
