Bot 293/294 are also out now btw. Uh, it kinda progressing and kinda doesn't, don't know if I feel satisfied after reading both chapters, really wish this entire arc would just end already, its hitting "Deicide" levels of too long.

Yeah, this arc is turning into Naruto '4th great war that lasts 2 days in the actual manga but took over 4 fucking years of weekly chapters'
Welp
Spoiler: show
Man totally underwhelmed with that conclusion. Kinda went down hill after the Lemillion reveal

His reveal was like 2 chapters ago lol
Yeah, I know. Exactly what I said.

New Chapter is out, and it looks as if this fight is finally over.
Spoiler: show
Sorry to bump this as it's no new chapter but today I started on Season 1 and have nearly ended it after getting hooked but I got a few random quick fire questions:
1. I know academia is in the title but does it ever go beyond this, like outside of the titular school? Is there a time skip where he goes pro, or approaching that level.
2. There's 4 seasons, and since the latest chapter 295 where does the anime cover up to? (please include an estimate of the manga up to Season 5 too which got announced)
3. On episode 9/10 at the moment while I paused to write this but is it safe to assume All Might will just become a background character/advisor soon? He was describing how his powers were weakening and also shortening, so I can only imagine a Green Ranger scenario here.
4. Any romance happening? lol
5. At the moment I'm finding it cool it features some pros from time to time, but I hope there some bits where they pros actually handle the situation instead of letting the kids do it.
1. They do a fuckton outside of the school, but as of right now there has been no time skip. More than like a week or two at a time.
2. Idk the chapter numbers, but their current arc in the manga is probably going to be the first big arc in s6.
3. Yes
4. Yes, but its nowhere near the focus. Super background stuff
5. Here and there. The pros definitely get their chance to shine, but the kids are absolutely the major focus in 90+% of the fights
Thanks for the quick replies! Moving on to S2 now.
Happy with the way it ended S1, I would be disappointed if Deku ass pulled something out, and I liked the way when the teachers/pro arrived to absolutely turn the tide quickly (though this was hinted at by the villains themselves), as well as showing the gravity of the incident at hand with 3 teachers seemingly out of commission for good. Anyway, not much else to say now but to catch up with all of you haha!
Thanks! That gives me an approximate idea of how much I need to read and such, or to make some "prep" for it.
No new chapter you say? Make sure you have an ad block, the site is spammy as fuck without it

Man what a bullshit way to conclude this arc. What's cop out of an ending to that fight. They raised the stakes higher and higher and just had no way of finishing it off except going "okay fightings over now". Real effin dumb and it's the first time I've been disappointed with the series

Yeah, I totally agree. For how long it was and how built up and all the shit that was revealed during it, the ending is pretty lackluster
I'm not too mad about it. I will say I don't like when manga's/shows/movies play this game with no killing tho. It shows all these people being arrested and tossed in jail, but I'm sorry these guys need to die. The amount of people that die because you don't kill this one person is overwhelming. AFO himself shouldn't have even made it to a medical bed. After that fight, they should have taken turns shooting that dude in the head.
While they didn't touch on it much, that was sort of the point of the quirkless population/police force and how they would ultimately handle final punishment instead of allowing heroes to off villains at their discretion. Without giving them that bone of legal power, you'd probably see something more akin to X-Men where mutants are feared, reviled, and ostracized.
That said, OFA is also an exceptionally unique case. Yes, they could off him, but he also has multi-generational knowledge of criminal activity throughout the country and likely beyond. The uniqueness of his quirk is also likely of scientific interest, presuming people involved aren't as corrupt as the nomu doctor. Simply figuring out how his DNA works could lead to significant medical advances, or at the very least, the ability to copy/transfer restorative quirks to people in need. It's basically the inverse of the anti-quirk bullets, even if those might also have potentially useful application.
As is, I think we all know it's a given AFO will probably escape Tartarus at some point and be the real endgame boss after all. Personally, I still feel this current arc/fight came too early, especially with how a lot of us had those "this is end of the manga" feels despite simultaneously feeling that unlikely. With how this arc ended, AFO's escape also seems more likely with Shiggy also losing a number of his pawns. Oh well, can kinda figure the next few chapters will be aftermath, then maybe we'll see some kind of time skip.
They tried real hard to make this feel like the end and the payoff was wholely lacking

Wait, did they fucking off-screen Midnight? What the fuck is this chapter
