Ultimately why this encounter felt pretty meh to me because it was token, "Nuh uh, I'm betterer!" kids style play fight. Godly regeneration is pretty much a notch below invulnerability on the lame power ladder and it's been used twice now to save Shiggy from getting his ass handed to him.

I do like the way they are doing this back and fourth of hero power up villain power up without them actually having to fight each other to obtain them. This manga really has a good way to show both sides not equally but really close to it, there's a lot of time spent on villains.

And as fun and ridiculous as it is, it's really fucking ridiculous lol. Like, really overboard at least on the one side.

Only a matter of time till the power of friendship takes over.

He's going to get everything. Dude's literally being set up as an Aizen-style, where he gets everything he wants and the heroes find some asspull reason as to why they haven't been killed time after time and shit unravels.

I'm just along for the ride this time around.

I absolutely loved the War and vigilante deku arcs.

This one is a little crazy (but its only been like 4 chapters?) and shigi is stupid OP for sure. But overall shit's been great.

Yeah I just can't find a real comparable to how OP he is, ywatch in bleach, last few chapters Madara or that God Ninja in Naruto I don't even know. Like it's extreme.

Deku can float around and swing like Spider-Man.

Yah... this hurts to read, if only because I definitely feel like we're going to get a super super unsatisfying reason for him being bested cause they've set him up to be a god tier force, a force so unbeatable any resolution will be unsatisfying in its explanation. But we'll see :\

It kinda sucks, as this (and so many other shounen's) started out with such promise, but they all overreach and end up being a big mess by the end.

I just think he is letting the power scale get out of control. Most of these types of anime/manga hit this point because the author writes themselves into a corner. The said reality of not knowing the long game of the story and having deadlines.

The only situations I can see happening, along with power of friendship and what I mentioned earlier, is the nullify girl either hanging on his back again and using it on shig or somehow deku can absorb or gain her power like shiggy does.

To me the best possible outcome to this would just be AFO dying right here and now and the letting Decayman be his own villain. But I know the OFA arc would not end satisfying with that conclusion, so maybe him just being flavor blasted back into his own body would be cool?
