Panthers cut Charles Johnson
This may be my internet video/vine of the month; tangentially related to the NFL because Rovell is the fucking worst
His scurry to the basket after the shot is my favorite; really reminscent of a young Gollem in his prime
I like the old rec basketball "yell in his face" strategy
So apparently the NFL is in good shape to win the Brady case appeal. If the three judge panel rules as they seemed to lean in court, Brady will serve a four game suspension unless SCOTUS takes the case.
Like, I understand your hatred of Brady, but him winning that appeal should be viewed as a good thing if you can get past the Patriots hate. Goodell not being able to hand whatever the fuck kind of punishments he chooses is a positive.
Brady is still the figurehead but it's really more the NFLPA vs Goodell at this point.
Good point but
fuck tom
I miss having Ninjalotter's totally biased and angry opinions on everything Goodell.
Martellus Bennett and the Bears are working together to find a trade partner to trade Bennett
Black Unicorn for Stan "Paper Mache Head" Lee!
Lets do this!
Colts releasing Andre Johnson
The NFL should just emulate the NHL's discipline infrastructure and disclosure. I love when Deadspin posts a link to the NHL Department of Player Safety's videos for a particularly lengthy or important suspension; a lot of non-NHL fans see the video and go "What the fuck...why doesn't every league do this?" in the comments. The NHL's system is far from perfect (e.g. Wheel o' Justice meme associated with historical inconsistencies in punishment severity), but it's pretty damn good imo. I just miss when Shanahan used to narrate the videos.
NFLPA fucked up when they agreed to it, and the Brady situation is their best chance to fight back against and try to curtail Goodell. There have been cases where they could have easily won, but it was situations they wouldn't want to be publicly defending the person. Ray Rice being the most obvious example.
Aside, I believe the NFL has so far spent around $20 mil on this case, which is just dumb as fuck.
COME ON JETS BRING IN MARTELLUS WOW COULD YOU IMAGINE
