Patriots releasing C Bryan Stork. Dude has had too many concussions and is a psycho, going back to his days at FSU. Probably best for him that he doesn't continue to play.
SD pulled their "best offer" off the table for Joey Bosa
The New England Patriots have traded former starting center Bryan Stork to the Washington Redskins for a conditional seventh-round draft pick, sources told ESPN, confirming an NFL Network report.
The agreement between the teams came after Stork had been informed by the Patriots that they planned to release him.
The Patriots are also releasing veteran wide receiver Nate Washington, according to ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates.
JOKE FRANCHISE WITH JOKE QB LOL
chargers or patriots?
Spoiler: show
any stories?
from what I've read, the Chargers are the assholes in this situation, trying to force him to take deferred bonus money AND off-set language (Chargers off the hook to pay for the 5th year option if they don't exercise it). they have a long history of playing hardball with top draft picks resulting in holdouts
Ripped the sink and cabinets out of his girlfriend's kitchen with his bare hands after a fight. Was also the type of dude that would head-butt solid objects to psyche himself up. He has a history of concussions too already at a young age so I wouldn't be surprised if he already has CTE and you see him going the Chris Benoit route one day.
Chargers claim they "offered an initial signing bonus larger than any draftee over the past 2 drafts and more money in 2016 than any draftee except Carson Wentz"
Tom Condon, one of his agents is also the agent who was involved with the Eli saga, LT, Drew Brees and Marty all leaving SD.
Idk man, there has to be give and take, and if it's true they offered him a larger initial signing bonus than anyone over the past 2 drafts, and the 2nd most money to play in 2016, sometimes you gotta give a little, especially when truthfully you shouldn't have even been a top 3 pick
Bosa wants either the entire signing bonus up front, and/or no offset language. The signing bonus one is somewhat ridiculous, but the offset is something that will likely never come up and I really don't know why the Chargers won't budge on it.
Either way the Chargers are acting fucking ridiculous, especially with the press release they put out trying to frame Bosa like the bad guy, when realistically his demands are completely fair for a #3 pick.
The Bosa camp was willing to take the partially deferred signing bonus or off-set language, but not both. These are reasonable asks. There is very little to negotiate anyway since the most recent CBA drastically reduced rookie salaries.
It's a dumb hill for the Chargers to die on. Their front office looks bad to players and agents and their team is hurt on the field, all over an inconsequential amount of money.
