Glock/CCW questions

Currently I live in Alabama and own/carry a Glock 19. Alabama is a open carry state (although i CC, and yes I have a permit), however I am moving to south Florida next month which is not an open carry state. At the moment I'm not that concerned with printing/it accidentally showing since its legal, but I dont want to run into trouble when I move. The only way to conceal my G19 without printing to much is to have it on the small of my back which is a pain when sitting/driving so I prefer around 4/5 o'clock. So I was considering buying a Subcompact glock and wanted to know A) The size doesn't seem like a huge difference, would it be any easier to conceal? I know they dont hold as many rounds so im assuming there would be a substantial weight difference B) Which would you guys recommend? G26 (9MM), G27 (.40), G30(.45) if any.

Also have other question/issue. Since buying my G19 I've put around 700 rounds through it (usually 100 rounds at a time) and generally clean it every time. About 6 months ago wal-mart had brass case perfecta rounds on roll back so I bought 10 cases. I shot 7 cases with very few issues (a couple rounds did not shoot on first attempt maybe 4 of the 350 rounds). This past weekend I went out for some target practice and every single round of the 100 i shoot had issues except 2. Half the rounds would not eject correctly and the other half would not chamber correctly. After the first 20 rounds I tried firing 6 Hollow points I had given to me and all 6 fired without problem. I tried Loading 4 hollow points and then 6 perfecta on top of them. Every perfecta round jammed, however when the clip go to the hollow points they fired every time no problem again. Any Ideas what would cause this issue? Also I have 2 different target practice clips and 1 i keep my CC ammo in and was alternating between them so I dont believe it was the clip.

You don't need to clean Glocks, depending on your level of noobishness in regards to how much oil is left on the weapon when you're done, that could actually be the reason it's having malfunctions.

It's more likely that ammunition is shit though -> Followed by your magazines are shit.

Never knew that i wasn't supposed to clean it. Was always taught to clean my gun every time it was shot heavily but knew they could be put through hell and still perform. So Ill back off the cleaning I guess. I assumed it was the ammo but weird that they were all bought at the same time, stored same way, and 2 boxes have issues and rest function fine. Although I just shot 100 Winchester rounds without issue and 15 more prefecta from the same group and had no issues. When i say practice clips they are all glock clips that came with the gun. I just have 2 that I use for target practice. Speaking of which should I be cleaning the clips (I havent up to this point)

You can clean them, but it's not a necessity unless you run through the mud. Unload them every few months to relieve tension on the springs.

You can clean the pistol like, every 1000 rounds if you want, it could be every 10,000, it could be never. I've seen some seriously nasty Glocks. If you do clean it, I would recommend using little to no oil and just using a rag to wipe the weapon down and clear out bulk carbon residue.

Under powered rounds. Weak springs. Weak grip. Trouble shoot it. You don't have to clean it, but wiping it down after a few hundred rounds won't hurt as long as it is regreased per specs.

I have a 27 and love it. I did have to get the grip extension, it kicks pretty hard when you can barely get 3 fingers on it. or maybe I have large (or weak) hands for a female

Mines is pretty old, I'm 40 now and I bought that as soon as it was legal from me too. I had it professionally cleaned and checked out probably 10 years ago and it was fine. Haven't really cleaned it since, it's probably time, though I went through a period of not using it due to medical issues. Never had a problem with it. I'm nowhere near the experts you all are just wanted to attest to it's age and how its been treated.

I live in Palm Beach county, moving anywhere near? I can offer nice ranges to go to. Most in Okeechobee though

Actually yeah I'll be moving to boynton beach and working in pompano beach. How do shooting ranges work anyway? Never been to one, around here we just go shoot what ever when ever in the back yard lol. Do you pay to use or just buy the ammo and shoot for free?

Pay a fee and bring your own or buy their ammo(at mark up). Eyes and ears, some require chamber flags. Even living in alabama I can't believe you've never been to a range.

He beat me to it, yeah this is how they work here and there are indoor ranges in the area. I just love rifles though (which is why I like the outdoor ranges on Okeechobee) I use my hand guns to keep my skill up, but rifles are so much fun. I suck at skeet, but I try every time, maybe one day I'll get better
